[1UP] Ectar_ Alpha Tester, Players 676 posts 922 battles Report post #26 Posted July 30, 2015 Ectar, the credits not being unified is logical, but are there plans to do so with free XP (if needed with a correlation factor that prevents people from stockpiling in one game, and use that XP to bypass in the other game without any effort)? Unified free exp and gold are planned, just like how it works with World of Tanks and World of Warships. It's planned for what is deemed as "release".

[RBYC] Worsenary Weekend Tester 75 posts 26,364 battles Report post #29 Posted July 30, 2015 I always thought WOT and WOWP were in a perpetual open beta status, more akin to a release as real world money has been paid and there isn't a wipe planned. I assumed that, that status (ie release even if its technically classed as an open beta) applies to WOWs. Calling it an open beta is in name only. It is a released product that is going to continually be added too (the occasional removal) and rebalanced as it progresses.

Nethraniel Beta Tester 1,739 posts 1,782 battles Report post #34 Posted July 30, 2015 (edited) You do not get the most obvious sarcasm do you? Your question about "defining release" will not get answered straight. Release is, when WG thinks, it is time for unified gold/freeXP... as simple and as unsatisfying as that. [HAIFU] mk_sky [HAIFU] Sailing Hamster, Weekend Tester 644 posts 5,220 battles Report post #35 Posted July 30, 2015 Define "release" please. You like answering yourself? Also what did you expected, WG to storm at you and say "yeah it's in a year from now!" ... and after that year it still isn't. "OMFG WHAT THE **** NO RELEASE, YOU PROMISED IT!" Sometimes I think the saying "there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers" is complete [edited]. As Nethraniel said, learn about sarcasm before you insult others. Cobra6 Alpha Tester 268 posts 109 battles Report post #38 Posted July 30, 2015 Define "release" please. As far away as possible so that people have to buy gold for this game separately if they want to spend any. Guess it's a safety mechanic because they still have the massive steaming pile of mud in mind that was World of Warplanes. Cobra
[1UP] Ectar_ Alpha Tester, Players 676 posts 922 battles Report post #39 Posted July 30, 2015 Define "release" please. Woah, that's a tough one but I'll do my best. It terms of our game, it will generally be when we do a big portal announcement to say the game has moved out of open beta. I don't have a timescale I can quote for that. Might that be because of your endless supply of most excellent Whisky up there from the Highlands? Reminds me, that I should plan a distillery hiking tour in Scotland some time in the next year or so... Edited July 30, 2015 by Nethraniel

wongman66 Beta Tester 191 posts Report post #46 Posted October 1, 2016 WG would save themselves far less grief if they came right out and said no linking of gold/dubloons. It has been hinted they would unify but at other times they hinted it would never happen. FFS just be straight up with what the plans are. Yes there would be an initial grief storm but it will die down and get forgotten about. Those who are familiar with WG's "antics" over customer service/expectations, this is their modus operandi. We just have to suck it.
