Little anecdote: Was recently sailing around in my Khaba. Enemy team had a Haragumo. The Haragumo suprised me twotimes and started shooting at me from the opposite direction my guns were pointing from a distance of 6.5 to 7.5 km. I had to turn quite a bit to return the fire. At the end of the battle I looked at the result screen. The Haragumo did a whopping 4k damage to my ship. In the time I could return fire, I did 10k damage to the Haragumo. With 1/4 pen it can pen hull parts (bow and stern) that are 19mm and all superstructure, with IFHE it can also pen small part of deck which is 25mm thick, but even with IFHE it can't pen with HE parts of the hull with 50mm of armour (hull side armour). Harugumo does not need IFHE to pen DD plating except the Khaba 50mil plate, which it won't pen even with IFHE. It shows also that you were simply lucky, he was hitting your side plate (he was too close) ... I was in the same situation today but the distance was 9-10km away .... before I could turn away, I lost 8k HP, Harugumo 2.5k .... So range favors Harugumo actually because his shells rain down on your 19/13mm deck/superstructure/turrets bypassing that famed 50mil plating .... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And you were the one claiming that Khaba is too weak. And now you say other DD need luck to not hit the 50mm plating? And hitting a Khaba consistently at 9km+ with Haragumo is not for the average players. Khabas shells on the other hand have already 2 seconds less flight time at that distance. When I sit in Khaba I feel confident to deal with ANY DD at 9km+. That is Khaba territory! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
