Did someone has a recent guide to play musashi ?

 

I cant play her, every salvo result in a 1 or 2 overpen. And waiting 30s to do 1820 dmg is so sad. I try to stay at 10 km from the fight to mitigate that problem but this is ending in a giant bbq. I don't know if there is a recent change with her accuracy but now, a 80K dmg is a good game...

Use aiming system mod 1 and main battery reload mod. You get better dispersion and 26 second reload. Everything else tank build including the captain. Forget AA or secondaries they are only for fireworks.

 

Angled Musashi at 15km+ is very  very tanky so your main fighting range is 13-17km (you should shoot at enemies beyond that especially in the early parts of the game but accept that hitting 18-26km is a dice roll nothing more nothing less). Do not always close the distance to 10km you are not best at that range. Only close distance to less than 13km if you need to really bully somebody off or go help somebody take a cap etc.

 

If you get into a situation where there are multiple enemy ships shooting at you try to increase the distance. I don´t just reverse and bowtank because in my opinion Musashi is very good at kiting away and tanking multiple enemies giving your team time to do enough to win the game. Just predict the situation early when you need to start kiting away and turn away in time so that your broadside will not be exposed to multiple enemies while turning.

 

The thing with Musashi guns is that they are derpy but overmatch gives you constant damage very easily. I shoot a lot of enemy BBs with it as they are big targets and have enough armor in many places to fuze the shells thus giving full pens. On some full broadside cruisers at close range it is very hard to get citadels on as 460mm has so much pen and long fuze time and you end up getting only overpens. However if you see a angled cruiser.. just shoot it, to me it seems i get more consistent results against lightly armored targets like that. Also high tier German BBs broadsides eat massive penetration damage from 460mm if you see one you can hit them and have 10-20k salvos easily.

 

The best advice I can give to mitigate the bad sigma is to shoot a lot. Try to find a position where you can shoot every time your guns are reloaded. After reading your post I went and played a Musashi game. I shot 147 main battery shells and hit 61 of them in game that lasted 14:30 minutes. Most of my shooting was done in that golden 13-17km range bracket.. and I still missed a full 6 front guns salvo on a broadside Nagato at 8 km so go figure. :cap_wander: One good point of shooting a lot is that you are getting a lot of damage but also you are drawing return fire as you are almost constantly spotted and in active combat. Even at tier 10 games 97300 hit points with such armor and heals can tank a lot so everything that is shot at a Musashi is not shot at some weaker but perhaps more important ship. :cap_look:Also Musashi has very good torp protection. That combined with 200mm citadel deck armor and massive HP pool makes it pretty OK against tier 8 carriers. They are gonna lose a lot of time trying to sink you if they are focusing you just because you have bad AA.

And Mighty Mu works in ranked too. Doing just the things it should do. Funny how all those tier10 ships see one Musashi and think they are gonna kill it fast. 15 minutes later they succeed.

 

BTW Smolensk can practically only burn you from range so it is good to give enemy Smolensk the Musashi as a target. Relieving pressure from your own team.
