I tried it but it hurt my eyes to aim in this enviroment. Too bad, I wanted to try Des moines more but after just 1 battle i really liked it. Overall cool initiative, unfortunately unplayable for me.

what i didnt enjoy from the event was that NA servers got to keep theyre 5 extra port slots while we in the EU servers didnt and that the event even lasted for 2 more days on the NA servers...

I only tried a single battle and that was with the space Yamato. Ended up missing all shots because i couldn't aim for the "waterline" properly and died miserably. It was also a bit too colerful for my taste but the overall idea wasn't bad.

It was a nice gimmick.

As I haven't grinded anything above tier 7 yet, it was nice to go a couple of rounds in the top tier ships(hope they performed the same as regular play).

Too bad the third dimension of moving (up and down) was not implemented. But then again, it would probably miss the point, wouldnt it.
