Since there was "big scare" of possible "Stalingrad" OP "menace" I wanted to see how many of those are actually showing...

Aah, ok. I actually only seen maybe 3 or 4 ingame total. Are there so few out and about? Because if many players own that ship they should play them a lot I think. Do we have a number on how many there is on the EU server?

I only played my Stalin a few times, same for other members of my clan.

The ship is simply not as good as some people want to believe.

To me it is not stronger than a Des Moines overall.

Just shows that american players prefer to lick their own ballz to play their own national ships and tend to avoid "enemy" ships like russian and japanese ones (see Musashi and Kronshtadt), while european players have a more variety with their ships and a more pragmatic way when choosing what to play.

Well, that goes least for those "exotic" ships. Would be interesting to have a statistic that includes all ships - premium and silver ones - to see if this trend is universal for all ships, or just for those special ones.

Exactly the reason why i think this site stats are skewed

The amount between players and battles played seems to be out of proportion sometimes imo. DOesnt even look that weird now, but when the average number of battles played is very high, i start to doubt it.

There will always be players who play only a couple of matches per week per ship.

BTW, using the most excellent "WoWs Numbers" stats site there is no evidence of big number of "Stalingrad" in "Ranked Season 10" either...

That's the point though isn't it. WG have given a ship which they say is very situational, but has BB guns on a cruiser with Russian rail gun arc and velocity. too the very best players in the game. They are exactly the people who know how to get the very best from the ship, so making it so 'stronk' in the first place only makes it worse for everyone that has to face them.

Do you know much about how this site collects its data and how comprehensive it is?

Keeping a comprehensive data set up to date is an intensive process. I'm not even sure that WG's API servers could supply the data fast enough to make comprehensive weekly data reliable. I would consider it indicative at best.

Then you look at the top 5% of players are see the same inconsistencies. 

 

And guess what? The top 5% Zao and DM players tend to also be the top 5% Stalingrad players. 

How do you explain that?
