Manual control is nice if there's some thinking attached to it. Now in most games there's a single red CV, flying around in a single squadron at a time. There's no target selection, and the manual control is about hitting a single putton when the planes get close. Then it doesn't even enhance the AA all that much. 

 

Whatever manual control there is, it should be somehow more involved and rewarding than that. I posted one simple solution in the Current Update section, specifically having the priority sector narrower, freely directed and more efficient. Get it right and you get a real reward.

Played a bit with my spainiards today , and to be honest im not impressed with the current AA

 

 

Neither did i play very well here nor was the time inside the AA optimal, and yet i didnt really felt like im in danger of losing my squad. Which makes me wonder how there are ppl out there complaining about AA. Its a joke tbh

I was actually wide eyed when you flew through 3 whole lines of flak and didnt lose a single plane.

 

thats actually bonkers. Soo miss hosho is broken and tier 10 seems pretty powerful if not outright op, i can see what sunleader meant.

Well, he lost one plane and most of the squadron was halved in hp and presumably most, if not entire squadron was wiped for whole 17k damage. Wasteful? Very. But then, "bombers will get through" was the case even during "darkest hours" of 0.8.6:Smile_smile:

 

1st wall of flak (9s) basically ended as he/she/apache entered the area, most damage came from 2nd wall, assisted by Republique. And that would be it for flak

Its quite a Big Difference in Fact.

Because it means that a CV can do such Attacks over and over with little to no losses and thus with no way to stop him.

 

Games like the ones I posted earlier are possible because I can just keep going.

 

You so easily brush aside the *17k* Damage.

 

But let me ask you.

When was the last Time you managed to have Reliable 10-15k Damage Hits once per Minute on Targets 30km away while not taking any Damage yourself with any non CV Ship?

 

 

You Guys always nag about the low Alpha Strike Numbers.

But the reason a Worcester is Dangerous.

Is not because its dealing so much damage at once.

 

Its because it deals Damage Constantly while being outside your reach behind an Island.

 

A CV is basicly a Worcester with 50km Range and Homing Shells.

 

 

 

And Mate.

You can Analyze the way he flew through the AA and what did what there.

The Fact is he Flew through it without any effort and without losing Strike Power.

 

 

I Posted a Replay in the Achievement Topic Today which Showcases pretty Good just how Powerful CVs are right now.

People asked me for Replays to show OP CV anyways.

 

So since I am currently using CVs for Stat Padding and Money Farming.

I can also pad my Ego a bit and provide a Replay of me Playing CV.

Pls Feel Free to tell me how much Counterplay the Ships I bombed had available to them to prevent me from Bombing them?

 

What Should that Scharnhorst have done to not be Bombed by me ?

You think that Amagi could have stopped me from bombing it?

 

Many of my Strikes didnt even do 17k but only like 5-10k

And yet despite at least 2 times passing up on a Kill as the Target was low Health and I was sure that my Teammates can kill the Target without me.

I got out of this with 160k Damage and 6 Kills.

 

Are you really Telling me that this is the Kind of Game that a 52% Winrate Casual like me should have ?????

 

 

 

And before you Claim its a Fluke.

Well.

I had alot of flukes today it seems...

I just threw my Haku out of the window.

 

Being called multiple "nice" things for not helping someone out, pretty much every game, did it for me. Fighters are a [edited]failure, but everyone expects them to materialize out of thin air when and where they want them.

I'm not going back to CVs, period.

 

WG, thank you for your amazing work on the rework. Not a penny wasted.

The chance of it happening rises with how often you use the mouse (obviously).

I like to make tons of course and position adjustments in my CVs during a match. I've had this bull:etc_swear: so often that I've quit playing outright until it is fixed.

Considering WG nerfs not overpowered feature of the tank/ship/plane but everything around to make as not fun as possible, "bug" such as this sounds surprisingly sound... by WG standards.

It has to do with mouse hovering over ui elements to long that require mouse interaction for sure. Also seems to happen during quick commands. 

The more I use the mouse in ui menu while flying my planes the more likely this bug is to happen. 

 

It's as if the ui menu sticks around after closing keeping the mouse permanently on screen. Only restarting the game helps.

I would be surprised if noobyskooby had your CV numbers.

Do you Realize what kind of Monster an Enemy Player normally would need to be. That someone would Seriously consider it a Success to have kept that Player Busy for a few more Minutes ?

As for RTS.

I dont really Care.

Does RTS matter to the current Situation in any way ?

Does the RTS of the Past in any way Change that CVs right now are Overpowered ?

 

Answer is Nope. RTS is entirely Irrelevant to this Topic.

 

RTS is what triggered the change after all so its not quiet irrelevant, and dunno, I just feel like there is a lot of empty noise VS the CVs, they can single out a ship yes, they can make that one ship's life hell yes, but that ship WILL survive the first attack and can retreat while the planes circle around... I think they are okay, and I think the only big problem is the rockets vs DD gameplay, that tho I am not sure how could be fixed other than lowering the damage or accuracy of rockets fired by planes vs DDs....

Sounds like old RTS Times :Smile_trollface: Ppl told me multiple times im a noob while pumping out HC and King of the Air on a regular Basis. The Playerbase is just too dumb for this game in any way possible, from understanding basic Tactics over  Mechanics up to Ship Capabilities. If I would judge just from chat alone the game must be full of super unicum players. One of the worst things I can remember was playing against a CV Division from TTT while being alone, and despite me shooting down like 40 planes there was a guy in chat whimpering " no support, noob cv". It's just what you have to expect of this Class, for most Players its like a magical Unicorn.

CV's seem to be bugged in some ways, autopilot is still dumb, dumb, ctrl right click doesnt always give you the option mute map spammers and game try's to make you zoom in on projectiles that have already hit their target.

So... PTFO is out of the window with CV's in game. 

 

Whole change did nothing but make life harder for destroyers ( again ) and make things easier for battleships ( again ).

Add the accuracy and damage penalty vs DD and done, CVs will focus on their real targets. CL and CA need to be formidable AAA and BBs have to stick by them, making teams move more so in blobs/formations, slackers to be picked off by the CVs. I would gladly second a change like that.

Sounds good, but is probably never gonna happen, since BBs are likely WG's main source of income.
