For this reason alone I think CV's should spawn in the middle of the map right away, makes it easier to get on with the fun part of the game.

C'mon, even if it's just in my own substituted reality, can I at least have some mental pictures of CV's sinking early game.

 

 

edit: yes it's perhaps a meme but it's also OT. Why are CV's the only class with no risk of dying early game?

Actually no, I seen BB's die from single shell right at the start of a game, say two minutes before in position to get detonated :Smile_trollface:

 

CV's are immune first half of the game at least. History means nothing no more when we're getting sci-fi submarines, so if this game should now be about balans 100% and no longer involves historical scaling or tasks from actual ships during WWII ( subs were meant for disrupting shipping and engaging targets of opportunity and not to be part of combined fleet ops which is why they had their own command structure independent of the rest of the navy ) why are we not looking at carriers in the same way. 

 

Given the release of any historical accuracy of class interaction, CV players should be able to snipe each other again. Wait, sniping causes imbalance? More as single team loosing their DD at start of a game? Then rework has failed and should go back to drawing board.

Bogue can be a premium. Independence will be T6.... Now I know why they are T6,8 and 10 only. Same as the tiers of the subs. :cap_yes:

3. Not sure why they went for the whole even tiers thing. They could probs add other CV's in to fill teh gaps now. (unless they dont want a cv top tier in every tier 4+)

I could actually assume, that a sub can move towards the CV position and while doing so, he torps some other targets. The sub has better concealment, than a DD and has the option to dodge ships easily, as long no dd is around. Could actually work

I'm just wondering when will they get removed? The question I am asking has simple roots.

 

I am sick and f'ing tired of incompetent players always, and I mean ALWAYS blaming the loss on the CV player. I just had four people, whose names I won't mention, BM me for not being where they wanted me to be. One of them was a shima player, with hidden stats (from what I have seen from his gameplay it must have been for obvious reasons), who attempted to rush the CV. He expected me to bail on everything and waste my time getting to the other side of the map to constantly drop fighters.

The other was a cruiser with DefAA. Sitting around other ships with a huge AA bubble.

 

And this is not uncommon. Your genius rework caused this and it will never stop. Period. Don't you dare mention the dumb excel spreadsheet. Rework was NOT a success.

 

WG, do you really think this is fun for anyone, especially the CV player? Enduring continuous insults every-single-game unless you manage to completely carry it yourself? What, you're saying there's a mute functionality? Oh, cool; let me just mute larger portion of the playerbase who don't understand how CVs work. And whose fault is that? Yours, WG. Yours alone.

After all playing reworked CVs gives me the opportunity to not only grief the enemy but also my own team. Precisely what this playerbase deserves.

If you ignore your allies when they ask for cover, you might find yourself with two DD's gunning you down and the cruisers looking at and remembering how much you helped him earlier...

Kinda sad too be honest, i've always liked playing the support class and while i do play selfishly sometimes, i mainly do it to win, unless im in a situation where i can't do anything about it.

 

What ship types do you focus on if you were in miss lexi?

There is no detailed answer because it will always depend on the ships positions, priotities, your team their health abababababa

 

You kill DDs. If they hide you kill whatever that vulnerable/priority target ship is (your call). Be it a mino, a dm you don't care. You dodge that flak like a boss and kill them all. Nothing is a threat.

But okay i see yer point! i hate using dive bombers on dd's doe, bloody pain to deal with prefer HVAR's but can be awkward to use somtimes (far less than bombs for meh).

Yeah but you got to think about the new players. Teach them to not support me, and they find themselves late game with the cruiser sitting behind them with his AA off indicating to enemy team they are free to farm and he won't interfere.

At that point the match is either lost or won anyway. If it is lost then they'll provide ample distraction for the enemy to allow you to get away and/or farm them as they try to get to their free kill.

If it is won, more points for the enemy means more time to farm damage.

 

A win-win situation. What's not to like?
