There is frequently players NOT looking where they are going.

Sometimes this is in the form of emergency manouvering during close fights.

Sometimes its just lazyness.

I DO understand that both ships will be damaged in a collision.

But I dont understand why the ship beeing RAMMED ALSO gets a fine for the damage caused to the RAMMING ship by him running ME!

(The one RAMMING should have a fine, I agree)

What is the GMs view on this?  Do they want the game to be run in line with Bumper Cars? Or is it time to implement some aspects of "Rules of the Sea"?

And all this TK whining wouldnt have fit into one thread? ofc not, need 3 (so far) of them because rant.

How is the game supposed to know who is at fault :fish_palm:

Both get a fine - deal with it. Everyone hits a ship at some point, being due to careless, evading enemy fire or evading torps. Is losing a couple of XP and credits the end of the world for you? :fish_boom:

Because it's more viable to automatically penalize both sides than to employ a million employees just for watching replays and determining who was guilty of each ramming incident taking place.

okay, I'll humour you because I'm actually curious.

How on earth would you propose an automatic system that detects whose fault a collision is should work? Do tell!

You do realize that both parties involved in a ram get the fine right? Just because you only see the one you got does not mean the other guy didn't get a one as well. @Nexoe

The only possible way to change this is to make anyone who is stationary presumed to be innocent - but the amounts are small so who cares!?
