why do soo many very experienced players feel the need to be a tier 1 seal clubber?

Brand new players get their own "protected" environment, where they'll only meet other new players. After a number of battles, they are considered "experienced enough", and join the general population of the game.

Also, playing T1 is fun: the chaos, the fast pacing and the total lack of strategy makes for interesting matches. It's more fun than high-tier gameplay for sure!

A very good question... :cap_wander:Have never felt that need in particular. i only go there, if I am in division tutoring a new guy into our clan. But then again, that would still count as seal clubbing wouldn't it? :cap_hmm:

Yes it does, you should feel ashamed.

I can take this one: you need to learn to play, nothing else, give yourself another 1k games thereabouts.

For the hard of hearing, learn to play.

How does a new player know wether he was beaten by much more experienced player (aka sealclubber) or wether the game is just (too) difficult (for him)?

  • True new players are protected (with over 100 random battles you are not that anymore)
  • Veterans play Tier I when they start new nations or train someone
  • Very very few players continue to play on Tier I

Can we make the same statement about inexperienced players playing hightiers where they dont belong?

Any resemblance to the OP is coincidental and not wanted :Smile_trollface:

Ok so in other words: I dont think WG can ban anyone from playing T1. No reason for anyone to play more than 10-20 battles total, unless you wanna become a sealclubber yourself. Play T2 and you avoid those 10k T1 players. Might get those 15k T2 players in return :cap_haloween:Should WG ban them from playing T2 also? And where does it end then....?

Not to disagree, but the OP has the cleveland off the tree split, not "earned".

Weel, I don't think we have to worry about that. Some people will never know, no matter what you tell them. We have people at tier 10 with more than 16k battles under their belt with a 40% (or worse) WR, who still have not figured out that the game is too difficult for them. So no worries, no-one has ever quit doing something (even if we desperately wished for them to do so) just because they happened to be inept at it. :cap_like:

true but up to T6 and in reality, he has 90 battles at T1 and nothing can really be learned there apart from WASD and fire at the red ones.

Yep, and he is allowed to play it - is he not? Same right given to play T1 as long as anyone likes to :Smile_amazed:

Oh we are not disagreeing, the OP is moaning just because. I was just pointing that he has probably not experienced anything above T5-6.

He wants to forbid ppl to play T1 - yet he has a T8 ship which he only got because changes in the techtree. And he is allowed to play it as much as anyone else is allowed to play T1.

How was that not clear?

normally its people who have lost the last 10 games in a row,  they are not all that good at the game in all honesty at least not as good as they think they are so where better to get your ego stroked than killing a load of players that are still learning about things like lead time, angling and you can normally get easy kills at low tiers especially from people who like naval tactics i mean crossing the T in this game is the exact opposite of what you want to do.

for all those that dont no what crossing the T is its basically where you and your friendly ships sail broadside on to hostiles sailing towards you the idea being that all of your guns the whole fleets targets the lead ship kills it repeats on the next ship sounds good right,  in wows going full broadside just means you will take massive citadel hits

The only time where this is untrue is if there in a division with a new player, experienced players getting there fiends to try the game and increase population is not a bad thing and you cant blame either of them for wanting to play together.
