Can naval ensigns on German ships be historically correct like they are on Russian ships?

The Russian ships in WoWS show the historically correct naval ensigns (imperial St. Andrew cross till T4, Soviet ensign from T5 on),  the German ships however, all show the WWII era ensign. Can this be fixed like you did for the Russian ships?

Also: Why do Japanese ships not show the ensign but instead show Japanese flag?

I am not the least implying on the WWII ensign but on the imperial German ensign for the lower tiers. The way it is now it makes all era look like Nazi.

Why does this matter, like at all? As a beginner to this game, you should pay more attention to learning the game mechanics and such

Sadly, no. Swastikas are illegal in more places than hammer and sickles or other symbols. It's not wargaming's fault. If they would not censor swastika, game would not be available in many places. It is politics that are at fault. It is stupid really, nobody turns into nazi if they use swastika in video game. Nobody also turns into murderer if they shoot at people in video games. Censoring symbols has never been proven to make anything better - but try explain that to politically correct people.

Over time we will get over this nonsense. It just takes time.
