Simple question guys..just had  (finally)  a tier 8 battle (only a  few tier  X's)....was third in the team....and  yes, I'm   paying for premium membership....sigh...but this awesome game  (2  kills  and such) would end up minus 19k credits without a premium account.....what is the reasoning behind this? I'm playing 2 years now.....but this is just  play to win, no?

If you want credit gain in high tiers, most need to pay for something, yes. It's a game, people and company need an income. I don't see the issue tbh.

WG wants to motivate you to buy premium time, that is good for them, or to encourage you to play more midtier, that is good for a more balanced server population.

you don't get the  issue :-( we're talking about  the difference  between paying each month  vs  free players.....

It's basically WG's standard model: unless you're really good, you have to either pay for stuff (premium account, perma cammo etc.) to make a silver profit, or alternate games at higher tiers with one or more lower down (the latter funding the former).

I pay for stuff, personally, so I can play more or less whatever I fancy; I view it as coming under the same heading as beer money etc. WOWS costs about the same (+/-) and doesn't do horrible things to my liver...!

Yes. Without the paying folk, there is no game; equally, without the free players, the server population plummets. That said, if there was no/limited tangible advantage to be gained from paying money, the game's income would nosedive -> no more game.

The sheer amount of people that thinks that money grows on trees  is impressive ( ofc this happen until they have to get paid, theb they are the most qualified  in the world and need multi-millions contracts )

look, it's very simple...with   a premium account - you get 100k....without premium account, for the same  win....you get minus  19K...hence, you need a (paying) premium account to be able to make credits.....simple  AND very nasty :-)

Or you just make credits in lower tiers.

 

I mean, you can't even use the expression "pay2win" as you do in the first post. It's at worst "pay2ConsistentlyPlayHighTier".

If you play a few games of tier 5-6 in between you find yourself earning plenty of credits

What is nasty?

You want to buy food? You have money --> food. You have no money --> you go hungry.

 

I have the feeling you lack basic understanding about money and our economic system.

not the point dude....have you  been counting the credits you earned then? in tier 5-6 mode? count again ;-)

It's not.

 

Playing non-premium, I don't think I've ever lost credits on a match below Tier 9. And that's even if you include the really crappy games where I get killed before doing anything useful.

Premium earns 50% more sure.

 

Tiers 1-4 It's basically pretty much impossible to lose money even on a free account. You just don't earn a huge amount either.

Tier 5-7 It's possible to lose money if you play particularly badly, but generally you earn money.

Tier 8+ you will likely lose money unless you are particularly good

Yes, there's a difference. But what is the problem with that? You're still earning credits if you stick to the lower tiers. You're just not earning as much as you would have if you had premium. The only tiers where you need to play consistently well to stay in the black with a non-premium account is T9 and 10. You can either finance high tier play by paying for premium, or by playing something else than high tier.

 

That's pretty much the idea behind every f2p multiplayer game in existence: You either pay with money or with your time.

AGAIN...last time.....I don't care about [edited]losing credits....ALL  I want is a decent team....hence my initial  post....I ONLY  want great games concluded with a win....[edited]credits, [edited]money, it's a game.....djeez.....quite dissappointed now :-(

I have literally no idea what you're talking about.

 

I mean, you even titled the thread "Credits", and then you claim to not be talking about credits? Then what are you talking about? Premium account time gives you additional exp and additional credits. What other differences between non-premium and premium accounts do you think there are?
