Step 1. Go to youtube.

Step 2. Type: "Gulio Cesare reviews"

Step 3. Watch some.

Step 4. Conclude it's OP but extemely fun to play.

Step 5. Cry because you don't have it.

like: it has the average stats of a good tier 7 bb level's  good.

I think is one if not the most op ship stats wise in the game

Simple answer, it's the BB version of the Kamikaze. You club people with it.

More complicated version, it's a stealthy BB with guns that delete cruisers, which when angled can tank some damage. You specc into stealth and fire prevention and you're golden.

Wow really? I really didn't expect it to be THAT good after watching the armada video of WG.

Many thanks!

Aw garsh I wish I had it then. I remember brawling the pizza BB in my Wyoming and getting instantly deleted.

This is how good it is:

Spoiler

It's bloody nuts! The guns are super acurate (for a BB), and if you don't show broadside, you are as tanky as any other BB.

Get it while it's hot!

I wouldn't put much stock into WG's armada videos.

Don't forget her speed. Not as fast as Kongõ, but fast enough (especially compared to the rest of the tier 5 BB's) and better agility.

It's a tiny monster of a BB.

Agile, accurate, tanky bow and very stealthy.

And has pretty fast-turning turrets for a T5 BB.

The major weakness is an above-the-waterline citadel which will get your broadside punished hard if you expose it, but as the numbers presented in the thread linked above show, that weakness is not exactly enough to make it balanced at its tier.

And I noticed having 320mm guns is a big smol for a BB in tier 5... How do those even work?

If you come across an angled target that you can't overmatch, and there are no better targets for your AP, you switch ammo and quite easily turn your opponent's deck into an oversized HE-fired pizza oven :cap_look:

Although she is a "battleship" I would think her as a maybe a battecruiser with her armour and main gun caliber.

But then I remember she a thicc one and she ate too much Lasagna... that what's makes her a BB :)

Thanks for the help though!

Basically if you know how to play cruisers (i.e. not a brain-dead broadsiding BB only player), so you know about the wasd keys, angling your ship, ammo selection and target selection, it can perform on par with tier 7 ships. If not and you sail broadside all the time you will get 1 shot by a New Mexico.

So if you are at least a competent player then the ship will feel OP, if you are an idiot sailing broadside then it will feel like a terrible ship.

So it's almost basically a Scharnhorst when it comes to ammo and a Nurnberg when it comes to dodging shells. I see now.

I tend to think of it as a 'tanky' Pensacola (when it was tier 7) but with better stealth...

Also to note is that it can't be citadel-ed through the bow (it still takes regular penetrations) as it has an internal bow from the pre-modernized hull which is 85mm think so even Yamato can't bow citadel it... not that your ever gonna face one :cap_like:

I actually found the replay of one of my Giulio games on YouTube. I think it shows both its strengths (when I'm farming poor seals) and weaknesses (when I inevitably f**k up). I guess you can draw your own conclusions

Whatever you do don't show broadside, even a Pensacola can citadel you.... Otherwise the best cruiser in game, borderline op

Best way to describe GC is a T5 Amagi.

The guns are very accurate for a T5 BB, feels like a higher tier BB hence the Amagi comparsion.

It's got a tiny footprint and can dodge like a Cruiser. I believe it handles even better than the Warspite excerpt it's fast also.

Slightly squishy and the heal feels poor but stay angled.

The HE works on heavily armoured T7 BB.

Combination of good AP, good HE and accuracy likely makea GC OP. No idea why WG buffed the torp belt awhile back either :cap_book:
