At least, I think the range is longer, it's possible we're playing on a really small map.

It is really small map. Enemy spawn are already in the cruiser range at start.

Damn ingenious way to get people to test tier X :D

And that is actually very true, +1

Has anyone else noticed the Zaya class cruiser has the exact same colour scheme and markings as Takao from Arpeggio of blue steel

Nope, that's more Maya than Takao. Maya is pink with red marking, Takao is red with pink markings. :P

I stand corrected on the colours, but the mark shapes are from Takao.

Really? Sorry to be the one that brings in a bad mood, but i just dont get it!
This game is currently in CBT and you use manpower to program a spaceversion as some kind of joke (or celebration) that only a few people can actually play while the game itself isn`t finished yet. Thats like praising a new car without wheels, but it gets a real cool, new and flashy interior - but still its not rolling.

Maybe it would be the better idea to work serious at the game instead of programming something that only a few can access (especially because it lasts only 2 days!).

After removing the beta-button on the homepage a lot of people feel like slapped in the face, cause there seem to be no plans in further invites to the CBT, just the redicules "giveaway"-actions at twitch, with hundreds of bots that try to grab keys, most likely to sell them at ebay for 100 bucks. I just dont see any sense other than pushing twitch for some free propaganda on the game, propaganda absolutly not needed, cause most people who want to test/play wows already know about the game and are forced to watch some very, very unskilled (or annoying) streamers on twitch for hours to get a chance on a key. Besides, the interest at twitch runs low since last week, where around 10-15k people watched the wows streams. Now there are not even 2k watchers left at the prime time.
The lot better idea of marketing the game would be to sell the keys with the premium ships packages or invite people on a regular base, not the twitch giveaways. Sry for the wall of text, but thats annoying me for some weeks now.

Only thing I despise about this mode is that it has basically killed off the main game. I sat there with over 1,000 people online at 6pm trying to get into a tier 6 game. I waited a whole five minutes before a match popped.

The guys did this in their free time to let off steam whilst working on the main game. For me, that's great and I thank them for that.

To answer why they did that mode, read this vv

And now imagine that they could have done it with tier1 unique ships, but they did it with reskinned tierX ships...so they could see how people would act with tierX machines in their hands.

As for the key giveaway on Twitch, well I'll never like watching people play a game live, unless it's e-sports on my favorite game and have nothing better to do, or it's a humorous video in which a game is played to provide the lolz. So yeah, I agree with you on that one.

Also, it shouldn't have costed that much time anyway, it's a new texture on the ships and a rudimentary new map. The water effects even are still in, the water has just been made transparent ;) I do like it just like you, but I think people are getting 'upset' over nothing when they seem to think this costed actual development time.

snip

Because this way they get lots of valid technical data on T10 ships (if you hadn't noticed, everything in there is a copy of the T10 bar the carrier, which differs in the AA layout), gives the modelling team something to do while they wait for technical data from the research team (or so rumour implies) and gets players playing ships on a weekend where WoT has a 5x event and other goodies.

In other news, has anyone else noticed that the carrier in space mode looks like a Yorktown class model. Sneak preview of the T9 anyone?

The only thing i was wondering why is it called the enterprice instead of the enterprise :D

I smell Enterprise as premium carrier in the future :)

I don't want to smell it! I want to have it! :D

Sorry. You are going to have to drool a bit first. They are going to torment us and tease us as much as possible. Then we can have it. :P

Should had used footage from Space Battleship Yamato 2199. It would be more appropriated (because of Yamato's hull).:B
Intro's music 's good though.

Still a lot of fun and a very, very nice tribute to the Space Battleship Yamato franchise. The in-game ship, not this video.:)

Well it screwed up my session last night. Failed miserably at WoT then thought play some boats.

Noticed Galaxy added, ok lets give that a go - then wtf I am playing the Atlanta???

Next game click on Omaha to grind then end up playing Yamato WTF x2???? And if this is going to be how t10 BB play is, count me out.

Click on Atlanta end up as Yamato again......

Try Minekaze, will not let me enter Battle at all. Try Omaha again and end up in Atlanta?????? Getting serious peed off.

Obviously something gone wrong with my port slots which sounds like it gets fixed if I logon again which it now shows all new space ships.

You din't liked Yamato? I guess you were expecting fast and agile ship, protected by force field and firing his big guns fast with pinpoint accuracy

I wonder why no one has mentioned yet that you can't cap B from the south on the galaxy map ... The cap circle is off.

Thats why I was always ramming the asteroid in my DD when I tried to capture it :D I guessed it's bugged from south.

Anyway it's far from balanced anyway, spawning in the enemy's cruisers weapons range is so funny...

One thing is for sure.. these spaceships basically print Credits..

Been playing the Yamato (2199 Edition) primarily during this event for just this reason. Even if I play a terrible match, the profit is likely to be 50k+ with the minimal service costs, with a good game having a net profit in excess of 200k.

Bonus points for helping to decide which Tier X to go for, since I don't see myself picking up more than one during the CBT due to both acquisition and service costs.

Im not good with BBs in general... but with the Galaxy (Des Moines) I just had 250k+ on my first match :p
