Hey Wargamig

 

I played Narai on the test server during current version test on PT server,  before release to live server ... really enjoyed it ;-)

 

On PT i was able to join a random team for the operation Narai, and not forced to be in a division, like I am on the live server

I am unsure whatever the reason must be, though It may be somwhere here in forum ?!!?

 

I myself like to play these operations, and i would very much like the other, and possibly future, operations in the same way as Operation Raptor Rescue.

 

So would this even be something to consider ? ... allowing PVE players to play operations without being forced into a division, and thus maybe enable players who doesn't play often,

have a go at these operations??

Basically, there are not enough players to keep the 7-8 different operations available at all times. That's why they force you to play an Operation of the week, where you will find players to start a game in a reasonable period of time.

 

If you bring your own players (in a division) then you can play any scenario.

 

Anyway. Narai will be on tomorrow, replacing Raptor rescue as Operation of the week.

I'm fully aware that you can play any operation if played with clan members ... But looking for a division to join, can more than often prove to be a longsigthed task :-/

Or even get a full squad, when people joins the division,  but many skips the division due to wait time ... Making it hard to get to play.

 

People with limited time to play, is left out .. the majority of the time, and chooses CO-OP or Random play ... Because of "start/ #playandhavefunwhilefigthingHard/ most likely die :-D

 

On PT server testing the current version, we switched back and forward between two operations. Narai and Raptor rescue, and was able to be played in the same manner as if  you would have chosen CO-OP in order to fight Pve ...

That eludes my logic, as i would think the playerbase would be fairly big ?!

I do not know how structure, or the hierarchy is setup for the different game modes ... That also eludes me :Smile_teethhappy:  I just press play, have fun, and mostly likely die laughing :D

But that also proves my point!  why some, if not many, chooses other game modes instead .. though wishing to enjoy the various operations

 

PT server had it working fine, and player numbers are far lower than they are on the live server.

And it can be VERY hard for a division to agree witch operation is to be played.

Personally ... I haven't played operation Hermes yet, and other operations only a few times :-/

Or play the operation Raptor Rescue ... But this is not necessarily the operation i do wish to be challenged by ;-)

I don't think it's as big as in random battles.

 

If at a certain time there are 40 solo players looking for a game in Scenario mode (and I don't think I've ever seen such number), it's easier for MM to create a game if they're all concentrated in queuing for the same scenario, rather than spread out among 7 or 8 different ones.

On the PTS the two operations switched every hour.

 

On the live server the eight operations are each available for one week as "Operation of the Week".

 

And as JapLance says tomorrow the "Operation of the Week" will become Narai rather than Raptor Rescue, and will be available in that manner rather than needing a division.

So I played the Operation Narai a couple of times before I got off to work this morning.

 

It seems that this operation, while considerably harder than it was last time around, is still far more doable than the humiliation that was the Ultimate Frontier. Out of five battles played, my team succeeded twice, with four and two stars respectively. So I guess this is progress...? :fish_boom:

IDK its bloddy awfoul IMO, map is crap for a bb to drive through becouse every time u start zig zagin uhit an island, and if u dont zig zag u just eat torp after torp after torp, i mean its doable ok, i got 4 star win (with abruzzi rho) but thats 1 win in like 6 games and its not worth it for the prize IMO, maybe i ll try to eek out that 5 star and not play it again...

Narai is indeed available to play without the need to be in a division as it was with Raptor Rescue :-)

 

I was just airing a thought, that one could be able to play any scenario without the need to rally a division, but team up randomly as with Co-Op ...

 

JapLance's point also makes good sense ...

I played Narai many times over on PT server with random select teams, and made 4 or even 5 stars several times ;-D

 

The scenario is fairly straight forward, IF the team can restrain itself from going solo hunting, and not overextend, and for example NOT go sil into bay area too soon ...

Also BB's should stay inside repair circle and also act torpedo shield! ... Know where and when the carrier King arrives and taking it down quick ...

250k game with Scharnhorst this morning, 2 stars :Smile-angry:. Another one with like 220k, 1 star :Smile_facepalm:. Terrible teams.

 

This afternoon with Fiji a meh game with just 174k damage, 5 stars... No casualties, seemed like everybody knew what to do and, specially, didn't die stupidly.

I have yet to gain 5 stars .. 3 a couple of times is tops so far, teams seem very differerent  from those playing on PT server ...

At least it's possible to grind the Algerie for the C.Martel, and other ships :D

I work most afternoons so Im not really here to play, but a pinned thread to make divisions to play the weekly operation would not be too bad.

 

In port chat channel perhaps?

It seems Narai is suffering from some horrendous bug. I've tried it five times, crashed four times, and the only reason I did not crash five times was because the entire team died before reaching that point.

 

Oddly, when I tried to restart the game and come back, twice I saw that nearly my entire team had dropped dead around the same time. As if they had also crashed at the same time I did. Has this been happening to anyone else?

 

Even more oddly, despite these troubles, I've had two five star wins and had more than five kills both times. Narai challenge completed. Still crashed, still died, but it happened so late that it made no difference.

Hahahaha finalkly tried it. We had 4 div mates and a few randoms.

Lost a couple of times, won a few, two stars at the most.

 

Hood is NOT the most suitable... and cruisers REALLY need to shoot the DDs.

Besides that, I dunno what happens at the later half, but I'll find out.

We managed to kill all the transports, sometimes one would ghet away (Hood is good for that).

I think it is best iof cruisers do that though. Because every time I went after the transports or tried to kil CV King, we lost.

 

Main thing: don't rush it. Keep a steady pace.

It's great though, sometime this week we'k ll get 5 stars. Keep it up!

I played seven more Narai battles yesterday evening, and aced two of them. I was in the Atlanta both times we got the five stars, and I don't think that was just a coincidence - the amount of firepower you can put out from that thing, quite often from behind island cover, is frankly hilarious. And in this operation, there's always an abundance of targets within easy range. Just make sure you've got the IFHE skill, and you'll be golden! :cap_rambo:

 

Those were not the missions where I did the most damage, though. That was in the Scharnhorst, where in the endgame I ended up in a close combat brawl against two battleships and two cruisers - and I sank them all! BWAHAHAHAHAAA!!! :Smile_playing:

One of those stupid decisions that can break an scenario.

 

Most players want that medal and go for the almost defenceless merchants, leaving the allied transports completely unescorted at a critical moment when they have to enter the landing areas. Slaughter 99% of the times. Of course, all potatoes take the bait and lose a bunch of stars, not getting the medal because they all share the transport kills.

 

1 single fast firing cruiser is more than enough to dispatch the guarding DD and the merchants.

Well, yes, obviously. I wouldn't ditch the game objectives and let down my team in order to get that medal. In an ideal world, there is an Atlanta in the team and that one goes for the merchant vessels.

Welp... seems I can't 5 star this with random teams. Lot's of failures and even when you do win with this kind of results, it's only a 2 star... WTH WG?
