In case anyone wants to know how much it changed (given in seconds for 180°):

In case you're not sure what each category is:

Spoiler

Normal = base speed without captain skills improving it

EM = Expert Marksman (+0.7°/s)

Yamamoto = Yamamotos improved Expert Marksman (+1°/s)

 

Base = base turret traverse speed

Reload = with Reload Mod in the 6th slot

Special = with Unique Upgrade in 6th slot

That would be 3.6....3.61 degrees/sec turning speed which you can not get in any combination of modules & skills (including if you had MBM2 in 3rd slot)

Not planned. Musashi is already a beast and a tier 9 at that - she'll probably have to live with the slower turrets.

How big a deal is 1.5s extra reload, really, when one is running the insanely good AR skill already? It's a funny thing, since if it didn't have the token negative bit I think it would be very popular.

To me everything is shown correctly - 60s base (3°/s), 45s with Yamamotos EM (4°/s).

 

Could it be some faulty mod that you 2 are running?

Yes, AR will bring it back to what you started with when you've lost 24+% of your HP, but there's no good reason to take MBM3 instead of going for the accuracy buff of ASM1

Nice, so Musashi becomes even more of a luxury buy without the turret buffs.

 

Yam has the Legendary module, rotation buffs and potentially free HSF camo. Makes 750k Musashi look expensive...

As a Mo and Yama owner, I wouldn't get the Musashi anyway, but isn't the tier difference really worth it?

I mean, clubbing tier 7s in almost Yamato sounds awesome tbh :)

Musashi is still a very nice ship in its own right. You can play around the turret traverse by pre-aiming and smart positioning.

Doubt you see much T7 as a T9. It tends to match you upwards.

 

Only two plus points of Musashi is the model itself is pretty but you can look at it for free in port and you can train captains easily in her. If like me you've had a Yam long ago and grinded the HSF camo then I really can't see why you'd get one. Still, I've seen plenty in game to suggest that lots like it.

 

The 18" guns might be overkill vs T7 anyway.

And they are because T7 hull plating doesn't need 460mm's to overmatch, so the biggest feat of this caliber is void. Versus T7 it is the healthpool that poses a problem.

You should never run something that hurts your dpm, especially when you already take almost half a minute to shoot.

Probably. But it's so self-evident to everyone that I can't help but question it. Not that I expect to see one, but I'd like a statistical proof that factors in time people typically spend turning turrets while loaded, etc. whence we can deduce the actual average DPM of a given ship at a given skill level and see if the effective reduction in practice might differ from the 5% in the 'hard stats' of the ship.

I agree on this. Musashi is way to OP already for her tier. Giving her faster turrent traverse would be insane.

 

 

 

ONT;  45 second on my Yamato. Nearly as French BB turrets without EM. Sweet.

I did ram a Musashi to death not long ago in my Lion I think? Die hard! :cap_viking::cap_win:

I vote that, in compensation for the Yamato buffs, the Musashi HSF camo gets a temporary price reduction, for its faithfull subjects :Smile_great:

That way Musashi doesn't get more OP and we still get a better deal for a ship that seemingly hardly anyone wants :Smile_hiding:

BB rams are always so epic, especially when the victim knows and fails to evade :cap_cool:

 

Some sort of Musashi gift would nice yeah as the HSF Yam camo was released in a free grind around the same time as Musashi came. For the pragmatic there really was no point getting a Musashi when you got an arguably better one for free.
