As of right now, Warspite is not reduced ingame.

 

Apparently people can see her only with the techtree mod. So WG is now "hiding" ships that are "webshop only", they are still set to doubloon purchase ingame. But since WG says "only ships that are available ingame" are subject to this sale discount... they can easily avoid giving discounts to people who own a lot of doubloons.

I guess if you read those listings, it looks like many bad things. But the Warspite is stellar with some of the most important stuff.

While it's slowish, it's not US standard-type slow, and it turns well. In practice the handling and mobility is really comfortable.

 

The guns are supremely reliable. Good punch, good accuracy.

 

It's an incredibly comfortable BB to play. If I could only have one BB in the entire game, I'd pick the Warspite.

I think I have pretty much all the premiums (that aren't BBs, as playing BBs excessively gives you cooties); since the doubloon compensation nerf, this type of sale is now wholly unattractive...

 

Presumably, WG are now only really interested in new players' money?

 

Oh well, I can always think of something more constructive to spend my ackers on...

It used to be that ships are either possible to buy with doubloons, or the button was disabled and the text said "only on the premium shop".

 

Now they chose to hide the ship instead and you can only see it with the techtree mod. Very confusing for players who use that, but sure, WG doesnt have to care about that.

 

Still, i would prefer if they would do it the old way: All premiums are visible in the techtree (with a few exceptions such as very new ones), but you can either buy them with doubloons, or it says "premium shop only".

Ever since you changed your policy and withdrew most prem ships from the techtree, I ve refused to buy anything and I will happily stick to it. The doubloons I bought with real money became absolutely useless so until you change that anti-consumer marketing behaviour, I ll just keep it that way. Oh look, my summer sale savings will end up being at a 100% instead of the "usual" 30-50%, good deal I guess ;).

I am a collector and there are very few ships which could be interresting to me, so i see no point to give WG money atm as these ships will surely not in this so called "sale", so there is nothing for me to buy!

LOL. They won't change. They never do. If somebody already spent his money on the game then he is not interesting for them. How many times do you have to experience this?

Indeed. As shown by the actual changes to sales, WG is hellbent on always picking solutions to the detriment of the customer. Unless in their "cleverness" they outplay themselves like with the  premium ships in the shop.

A shame they didn't reintroduce them into the tech tree, but I think they did it on purpose as a sign of contempt towards people with doubloons.

 

PS: Here and on reddit WG reps will say the company cares for the players, but it's the deeds that speak volumes.

Personally there is only one ship left that is available and can be bought for money. Might buy it if it comes on sale this summer. Otherwise I can't buy anything else since I already have it.

If you haven't noticed, the unhappy people are those who are excluded from benefiting in any way from the sale.

You know the people who pay 13€ and get 13€ in value, compared to those who pay 13€ and get 25€ in value. The veteran players who have been supporting WG with money for some time now and now as thanks get the shaft.

LULZ no. last year the grand impressive finale was 20% on the Tirpitz. So this year you should assume the same, an old premium most people have or that has been power creeped, with a small discount.

All tier 8s, and imho nothing at tier 8 is worth it, except for the lo yang in your situation (& hypothetically the kutuzov)

 

The legendary missions are gonna keep even more people playing tier tens for quite a substantial amount of time. If you really don't care about being uptiered most of the time, don't mind me then.

LULZ no. last year the grand impressive finale was 20% on the Tirpitz. So this year you should assume the same, an old premium most people have or that has been power creeped, with a small discount.

 

 

I don't complain and I consider myself one of the whales. Two accounts one with 247 ships in port with premium camo on almost all ships from T-V to IX and quite a few on X too. I chose to buy some stuff for the full amount. WG didn't force me.

I could have waited for a discount but I opted not to in some cases. You could have waited for the discount too

Need a tier 8 premium, first on sale out of Roma, Prinz Eugen or Tirpitz would be an instant buy. Atago or Kii might be considered, other tier 8s probably not.

Hood or Scharnhorst at 50% off would both be instant buys. Duke of York or Atlanta would be considered.

Guilio Cesare at 50% would be an instant buy. Perth or Gallant considered.

Of course not.
But I bet that they will sell discounted premium ships during the sales as usual. And for the last days of the sale the T61 with the usual packs instead.
