Because red team had more caps for a long time and got a lot points until your team started to take the caps back?

How can anyone be this clueless with over 3k battles? :fish_palm:

Rather obvious - they kept most / all caps for a long time and got lots of point. Then potatoes (a.k.a. players like you) threw the game and as your team killed them you finally got a chance to start entering and capping those caps.

Whoa, who thought that it's perfectly logical, can't be?!

Another good example why we need proper tutorials in this game..... (even though I am not sure if that would've helped in this case of obvious facts and unbelievable ignorancy) This is the Newcomerssection after all right?

It was well explained above. Each cap generates points over time which sum up in a total pool of points per team. Each team starts with 300 points (in domination) and points get deducted for every shipkill (a bit more for BBs than the other classes).

This case is close to the classic "free solowarrior". If a team gets so many points lead that the enemys can't catch up in the remaining time even with all caps in their favour the one in the lead will win if at least one ship survives. And rightfully so because they simply played better/more to the objective (holding the caps for a much longer time)

So to sum up what you understood wrong: The shown points per team are based on accumulated points for the whole match and don't just show the current situation or win chance. (except if someone caps the enemycap in a standart battle where one team just gets +1000 points because they caped the base)

@MrConway How is the ETA for the "how it works" on caps/points win? :cap_haloween: (awesome series by the way! This thread obviously shows we need more of those though and a proper ingame tutorial) :Smile_honoring:
