More content for tier 2-4

What about more content for tier 2-4 battles,
Missions, challenges, Campaigns, and so on….

I more or less only play those tiers, well because, there the matchmaker is not broken,
so matches  feel much fun and fair, even if you at the bottom tier, you can make difference,
without being a elite player

So for us players that enjoy those tiers, I would like to see more content

Then sealclubbers would club en mass, the result would be that they scare away the newbie players from the game at those tiers, not higherXD.

An Operation for T4 and/or T5 would be nice though ( *laughs in Nikolai* )

That's because you're playing against a lot of newbies.

"Fun and fair" is more like "easy". Definitely not fair to the new players.

WG doesn't want to incentivize veterans to go back down into low tiers on the regular.

you might be right, but the rest of the tiers are so broken, due to matchmaker, that an below avg player like me find no enjoyment, hence only playing tier 2-4!
even if there are "rewards to be made in higher tier!

and i can see a clear trend in my games in tier 5+, when i am 2 tier behind, well....... i might as well not be there at all, and only 1 tier deference, i do, well not great, but okay!

and i noticed, that in those bottom tier game i just started run strait at the enemy, get the hit i could, and move on to next match, hopping for a better  match up, and i am probably not the only one dong that, i would guess!

well so i decided screw this, i will play i tiers where every match up is more or less fair, from a tier perspective!

I'd specifically welcome a T5 operation. There are lots of fun ships in that tier, but the random queue MM is kind of rough.

A T3-4 operation might be fun too, you'd get that WW1 flavour.

Random-queue missions and challenges would be a real problem, because then you'd have experienced people flood the low tiers with their 19 point captains etc. IMO the current system where it's generally T5 minimum is good.

If you need tiers as a crutch, it's not the game, it's you.

The lack of low tier content is precisely what keeps it "fun and fair" for you. Unfortunately, you can blame tier spread all you like, but trust me if there were unicum players with 19 point captains in OP T3 premiums farming easy missions, even if you were T4 in that game you would be so frustrated you'll wish to be T5 in a T7 game instead. Be careful what you wish for.

That's not really true. Sealclubbing at lower levels is largely down to the occasional OP ship and maps with lots of open water. However many of the ships are so limited that you can put a 19pt captain in them and not really get too much of a return.

I enjoy a good low tier Epicentre game, personally: cruisers and DDs tend to dominate and the whole thing is good fast fun. A WW1 operation with low tier cruisers would be fun... A post - Jutland escort mission, assisting a crippled BB back to port and defending against waves of Km DDs, cruisers and cyclones (and perhaps a BC boss ship...)

I play sometimes t4 Shenyang with 19p captain..exspecially when Iam divisioned with my newbie friend.I can say it is not so easy first but after some games wr is easy 70%.

To be honest, I'd just like a break from the constant events requiring T5+ or T6+ or whatever. Just, you know, some time with nothing special going on in the game whatsoever, nothing nudging me towards playing particular tiers or particular nations.

It would be horrible.

It would result in a 2 vs 2 between the sealclubbers of both teams with 20 poor clueless boats in between. I've seen what the Iwaki Alpha can do on that tier ... please don't give those players a good reason to do that on a regular basis.

A lower tier op would be cool though.

Pretty much this. Don't give me a reason to play Iwaki Alpha with my DD captains. You'll regret it, really.

Low tier WW1 inspired op would be really cool. I'd also settle for making a lot of the low tier premiums better, most of them are awful compared to tree variants. Not op, just not terrible.

As I don't own the Iwaki Alpha, what's so great about her ?

2x3 10km torpedoes at tier 4. With smoke. And around 9km concealment with CE. Only a handful of 140mm compared to Kuma, but with the Special Main gun Mod0 which basically gives pinpoint accuracy.

So long range high-damage torpedoes you can launch from stealth at tier 4, reload in one minute, a smoke to get out of trouble and 140mm that burns the rest.

Only downside of the ship is being a cruiser with a fairly large citadel. But a good player easily play around this weakness, so it's a giant sealclubbing tool.

Also .. it's a cruiser.

A cruiser with smoke that can stealth torp. With guns that are basically lasers (dispersion at max range is 5 meters or something silly like that)

We are very glad there's only 295 of them or so on the EU server.

( I want one very badly, but I didn't get into the alpha :( )

Max range dispersion is 57 meters at 10.1km if I remember correctly. xD

The OP's suggestion would work if WG simply gave players with say fewer than a few hundred battles protected MM in those tiers. The seal clubbers wouldn't be able to scare them anyway then.

We could have some WW1 and dreadnought based Operations.

Your lack of enjoyment in tier 5+ could also be because you have rushed up the tiers and your knowledge has not quite caught up with the speed of your progression.

As for the topic at hand, missions that could be solved in operations and special low tier operations would not be unwelcome. But as others have said, tier 4 campaigns/missions for randoms would not be fun for anyone but the sealclubbers.

"Your friend" has to be very slow with the T4 progression if you already have 823 games with playing your Shenyang "sometimes".

How do you have one? Is your forum tag wrong or were weekend testers supposed to get them? :Smile_amazed:

I was a weekend tester during the alpha (first iteration of the WE test), and farmed the game like crazy during this short test as I was very much anticipating it. Got me enough game to get the Iwaki.

Ah, there were several weekend tests? I only remember being in one before closed beta started. Hmmm, oh well!
