graf zeppeling should get 2-2-1 loadout or more ammos to that 1-2-1 it's so [edited] play with them 2 strafe and you're empty why we cant choose between 1squad 8 fighter or 2squad of 5 fighters in that loadout? that 8 fighters have way less ammo capasity than any other fighters squad on any cv

Yes...and then  add also an ICBM launcher...lol. Graf has an already retarded strike power, super secondaries ( has it hidro too?) at least give it some disadvantage in the air.

why make another attack ship like lexington was ? when 2 same skill level players play against gz will lose since have so bad ammo capasity and not 2 squad of strafe

still shokaku  imo is most compete cv since it have so many variations

This is the inherent problem with glass-cannon CVs.

If the other team has a competent CV player who can use his fighters, then it's useless. If the other team has a lot of AA ships, then it's useless.

If on the other hand the other CV likes to just group his fighters with his strike planes and their line-up is light on AA, then the GZ/Kaga is OP.

it's kinda stupid when you play 2-0-3 setup you can use plenty of strafes with 2squad of fighters and they work better together it's way better that 1 squad its just stupid if same planes that have 2 squad have more strafes in use than 1 big squad why? 2squad have more strafes and alrdy is more effective so why we dont get same ammount of ammos with 1squad then it's not 100% more planes of squad it's only like 60% so it shouild not affect that mutch of ammo capasity when strafe that's the point i dont care how good you can play on it or not thing is 2squad of same planes have more strafes than 1squad it's just ridiculous why same planes macigally lose their ammo capasity?

 

size 5 vs 8 it's not 100% more like 10planes then i would understand that it would drain ammocapasity twice fast

Pretty much sums up the GZ. It's what you get for how silly the rest of the ship is and the ability to easily delete ships with your DB squad.

 

GZ is nice when your opponent is potato and is likely easier then than managing something like Shokaku, but as soon as you run into competent people, it falls behind. It's retarded design, but well, WG seems to think such ships should have a place in this game. *cough* Asashio *cough*

 

If the GZ was to get an actually proper set of planes, it would need a review of the whole ship, because obviously it cannot be neglected that apart from the insane striking power of the DB squad, the carrier itself has lulzy secondaries and hydro and all. Which is maybe rarely useful, but certainly not free (ask DoY what the price of hydro is, lol). But GZ basically is now a gimmicky meme CV and likely will always remain that way.

That's not how it works. Each plane has an ammunition capacity and a rate for burning it, and the "bullets" shown in the squadron icon are a guide on how much ammunition each plane relatively has. Since the planes in a squadron all shoot "at the same time" (be it in a lock-on or in a strafe), a squadron of only 1 fighter and another one with 10 of the same type (other factors not accounted for) will deplete their ammo at the same rate, but the latter will obviously deal more damage since it has more planes.

 

Hence, in the 203 CAW you can do double the strafes than in the 121 one because you have double the squadrons, not due to some magical extra consumption.

right, so now i see if it's each planes capasity and with strafe each plane shoot same ammount of bullet  not per squad bullets it makes sense then. thanks mate
