[WG] Makoniel WG Staff 2,824 posts 13,949 battles Report post #1 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) Hello! This topic might be useful for some that want or still hesitate to buy some of the overpriced premium ships to be able to test them. I'll post Yuubari's stats there. If you have some stats about the other ships, post them, I'll edit this post to gather all the info. So! General IMO... A DD like cruiser without smoke screen or concealment isn't really fun to play, especially with this reload time on tier 4. But the ship looks gorgeous and she is very agile.Remember; Katori guns, and double torpedo launcher. I managed to OS a DD once with 2 AP hitting the middle of the ship... But that was before the 0.3.0.3. As you can see, the best AAA platform in tier 4... BUT she lacks the AA ability of T6 cruisers, and is effective only when planes come at less than 3km... You'll perform somehow well VS a newbie Langley, but don't count on it too much. [WG] Makoniel WG Staff 2,824 posts 13,949 battles Report post #4 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) I know it is a cruiser. But on the field, you play it like a DD, not a cruiser: no armor, poor guns, nice speed, superb agility, torpedoes. And thus, she lacks the smoke screen. You could compare it to Kuma or Tatsuta. [PRAVD] Takeda92 Weekend Tester 3,802 posts 8,478 battles Report post #5 Posted April 9, 2015 I like how they advertise it for having the biggest torpedo for its tier (610) yet stat wise only the speed looks impressive. However with that AA, trolling langleys is definitely worth it!

[CNEX] ot0_m0t0 [CNEX] Beta Tester 16 posts 1,014 battles Report post #7 Posted April 9, 2015 Gremyashchy: For any one interested, some of the stats highlight for the Gremyashchy:Speed and maneuverability:38 knots630m turn radius3.5s rudder shift timeIt's pretty much on par with the USN NicholasMain gun:4x130mm12 rpm36 second turret turn time1120 max HE2810 max AP11.9mk rangeApart from the slow turret traverse (which remains manageable), it's as good if not better than the Minekaze and Nicholas, having more range than the later in exhange for what appears to be faster shells but 3 shells per minute less. I had no problem killing 2 tier5 DDs ambushing me. Main guns are good.AA:2 x 12.7mm DSHK machine guns with 2 dps at 0.9km2x 12.7mm Colt machine guns with 4 dps at 0.9km2 x 76mm with 2 dps at 2km4 x 37mm with 32 dps at 2kmAA is very very bad, although to be fair, with the 37s, it has decent dps compared to the Nicholas and the Minekaze, although it pays it by having 0.5-1 km less range than their main source of AA (28mm US and 25mm IJN autocannons). Overall, bad AA, but on par, if not better in specific conditions than the two others.Torpedoes:2 x triple 533mm torpedoes14400 damage8km range57 knots0.9rpmDefinitely worse than the Minekaze, in all respects, but better than the Nicholas in all ways except for speed. Soviet torpedoes appear to be 10-13 knots slower than USN and IJN counterparts.Still workable, but you have to get in closer to make sure the target doesn't dodge. Stealth:Surface detectability : 6.7kmAir detectability 3.1kmExactly the same as the Nicholas, and about 0.8km worse than the Minekaze. Survivability:12000 hp6-13mmExactly the same as the Nicholas. Pros: Fast, high hp, good gun, decent torps, better AA than its competitorsCons: Slow turning main guns, awful AA range, no DP armament slow torpedoes.Overall, a solid ship. What it lacks in torpedo speed, it more than makes up for with the 130mm guns. A bit of planning ahead will allow you to point your guns in the right direction.A fun fact is that you don't even need to bother turning off AA. The range is so low, that the plane will detect you before you open fire. So it's a disadvantage with a silver lining.
Devantejah Alpha Tester 1,049 posts 2,356 battles Report post #8 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) Comrade Gremyashchy General Spoiler Main Guns Torpedoes AAA Pretty good looking, fast and agile with a wide arc for launching torpedoes. Reasonable rate of fire on the guns but they are slow to turn. Alright firing range and pretty accurate as well. Torpedoes are quite slow at 55 knots. AA is nothing special at all.
