Suggestion: Allow airplanes control after carrier is sunk

Sometimes when carrier is down, you can still have planes out. It could be nice to:

-- make available to order them to attack, patrol, scout.

-- assign them to another carrier if another player agrees.

And add a kamikaze order for IJN aircraft after their CV was destroyed! You press the ability button, choose a ship and hear Tora! Tora! Tora! It was the same in Worms Armageddon :)

If they still have their ammo/torpedo/bombs why not? But after they empty their load () I would make them un-playable

Maybe. But they can still scout for allies.

This sounds logical but would be unfair against other  class ships. If you are dead then you are dead no more interactions with the game.

Btw if you had a kill order before you get sunk the planes will still carry out they last order. Kinda like destroyer torps will still kill you even though the destroyer is gone.

Indeed. When I realise I'll be shot, I just sent as many aircraft out on "PANIC PANIC JUST FIRE THE DAMN TORPS AT SOMETHING" automatic attacks on BBs or some such target. Got a number of post-mortem kills.

I've also found that aircraft without orders will engage targets of opportunity. At least it isn't NavyField where aircraft just disappeared when the carrier was sunk.

Personally I'd like an ability for aircraft to land at friendly carriers, to resupply their aircraft load.

The fighters maybe. Don't think the bombers do.

JUST DONT. Good carrier drivers already make headaches to everyone with torpedo spams.

If WG allow that, cruisers should get buff of AA guns.

This was suggested by me in alpha too...nothing new...

Was already rejected by DEVs, because you can't command them from your lifeboat.

You don't have to...I think the squadron would know what to do by themselves...because if we compare to reality, I do not think that just because carrier is down they gonna fly above the last position like idiots either wasting fuel, that in-game is never endless, or gonna try to sink the ship for revenge or something to go down with...not just stick around one spot...now that doesn't make sense...

To the best of my knowledge, bombers will engage a target if it strays into range, but they will circle their last position. This could be improved by having them engage targets of opportunity that they would have to move to.
