EPICENTER! I was prepared to rip my hair out after that game. Why is it that every time I meet forumites the game ends up either really weird or really lousy? Please stay away from my games guys. Anyway, as noted it was pretty lousy. And Dropsiq landed a nice citadel volley on me. I had foolishly tried to push up to support the DDs in the cap as they detected the enemy DDs. Well with a DM landing accurate shots from good cover supported by at least one battleship I felt it was time skedaddle again. Too bad for me a torpwall was incoming so I had to run firm line... broadside on to Dropsiq. I'll just default to camp since I don't know what to do". But I honestly think that Tears of the Desert is spectacularly bad for Epicenter as the islands cover the outer circles and the inner circle is fully open and the right size in that you can't hide in it, nor so small that you need to move in to cover it. Any ship bigger than a DD pushing in there is asking for a pummeling, which sort of feeds itself. Ships stay in the outer circles where there is cover, giving them excellent opportunities to shoot at idiots pushing in. It's like World War I entrenched positions. D:< I managed to dodge most of your torpedoes, but between your Kamikaze and the Kirov, I had nowhere left to run. I honestly thought that you were closer to the Kirov as well (as in, on the other side of the "torpedo island"), so I was taken by surprise when I spotted the torpedoes. My super-late-breaking was thus a bit too late... I almost had you at one point though, but you managed to slip away :<. Yes, was a very close one, and I would be dead on the bottom of the sea, if I hadn't packed my 16 skill captain... 5.4 km stealth is really really a life saver... plus, that the Nicolas in your team was a scrub. ;) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You naughty boys! The map was "Neighbors" and i was in my Arizona. The guys greeted me back also. I sunk about midgame after sinking two enemies but Lepr0n (who was our only DD) managed to get all caps one by one with the support of the two Belfast and we had a nice win.Belfast was the HE/smoke version and the guys coordinated their smoke use to cover both of them almost constantly. [SCRUB] Aotearas Players 8,460 posts 13,076 battles Report post #1962 Posted September 18, 2016 Just met ghashpl, but didn't get to make a good showing because typical tier X team behaviour, most of the team was sailing around the map borders and exchanging long range fire and when I turned back to our base (which was perilously undefended) I ended up getting ambushed and nuked by a Fubuki from behind an iceberg, because apparently friendly DDs moving to spot enemy DDs is only a low and midtier thing ... not like our Fubuki had like five ships as backup or something ... I tried to make it behind an island to stealth up but he rudely interrupted that with two turrets taking out my engine and half my hp, then the other turrets finished me off. Close game but otherwise unmemorable, played in a low hp Fletcher all game after nearly being deleted in the first cap, none of the above's doing, but a due to surprise-Des Moines. Nice seeing you anyway, even though I never got a good shot at you. Sorry for any saltiness against any forum members. I've noticed I don't see a lot of you, other than the most recognisable. Confederate and 181k dmg for me. Not bad for a noob like me ;) And.... He had a great game in his Phoenix, top scorer, but was let down by his rather lackluster team. I had an okay game in Isokaze, but the enemy CV seemed to know what he was doing and had planes parked over me almost constantly. Didn't help that our CV was a bot that rushed the enemy and died!
