today I have sunk Aboomination with well placed torpedo into the smoke

 

a little bit moment later I have put too much attention to making sure my div mate gets last achiev from the event achievs and sailed into 5km from gneis which ended badly......

Hey guys.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kenliero and his Roon while playing in my Fletcher. The map was "Sea of Fortune" and, thankfully, we were on the same team.
The match started pretty well and we were soon able to dominate all the cap points. The enemy team kinda fell apart after that and we had an easy win.

 

I also saw imply_tha_best testing a brand new Minotaur in the enemy team. The map was "Trap" and i was in my Iowa.

Unfortunately, we never came close as i headed for A and he went for C. I had a brief glimpse of him though chewing up planes and fighting bravely before he sunk.

Did you play an IJN DD and was I on very low hp when this happened?  I think so...didn't have any choice - outside of the smoke I would have died in seconds so I gambled (it was obvious that you'd torp, tho) and took a torp to the knee 

 

Met Aboomination this evening and bumbed into his Tashkent...again sorry for that. We won, red team was really crap with a bit too much rage in chat

 

I've already forgotten about that (also I bump into ships all the time) ^^ I consider this an honor my king (ex LotRO player)

On saturday evening i met MrConway in an Edinburgh. That bastard got the killshot on my FDG, hehe

Last night I saw Spithas.  I didn't say hello as I only noticed him half way through the game and by that point we were both busy (he wanted to kill me).  I was in my Benson and he was in his Des Moines but it was never really a contest over which team would win as their Yamato YOLOd straight down the middle, ate about 8 torps (1 of mine, 5 from a Lo Yang plus I think others) and died within say 3 minutes.  He came up in chat saying he wasn't supported by his cruisers as though he seriously expected them to sail straight into the middle and their team was on the back foot from there.

 

I fired some torps off and hit Spithas and he headed my way but I smoked up and tried to shoot a NC - I was kinda trapped between them.  His radar came up but I managed to block LoS with an island and head back into the smoke once it went off.  I dropped more torps but became visible through proximity.  He had to turn away from them dodging them nicely but he was in a crap place himself and unfortunately he was took 1-2 citadels for it and died just after as he was getting his guns on me.  I was alive on low health but with torps and smoke on reload with an NC within spitting distance I didn't last very long but it was a comfortable win for our team.

Ran into two chaps testing British CLs while I was trying out my new Prinz Eugen.

First one was PointyHairedJedi in a Minotaur and a few battles later I had Admiral_noodle sailing an Edinburgh on my team.

Oh, i just remebered having Spellfire40 on my team at saturday as well. Think i did a mediocre match and died after about half time iirc, so didnt pay much attention to the result, so not sure how well he did.

your tashkent on the other hand was badly beaten, and hence I took a risk of firing mah guns onto you

 

during the exchange of arty fires I have dropped to like 50% of hp and then that distraction and gneis on 5km......

There I was, minding my own business, eating some cheese with fine wine in my Dunkerque, when out of the blue pops up Trigger_Happy_Dad in his 59% WR Kiev. I immediately ordered the crew to raise the universal white flag of friendliness, but our good forumite didn't respond, and instead dropped these curious metal fishes into the ocean. As we moved closer to investigate, the curious objects hit the hull of my ship and exploded! I was so very sorry for the damage we caused to his toys that I ordered a full 8-gun fireworks salvo, to call up Trigger's attention, and apologize in person. He must not have noticed, as he went diving next. Hope he found the pearls he was looking for.

​Was that on shatter?  Not very good game for me then, -))).  Finaly able to Start geting good Hits on the enemy Ibuki when like 3 BBs open up on me at the same time only slightly angled. Died in 2 second, -))) Not much luck on playing CA yesterday after a rather good Start in Benson and Kiew.

I actually spent so much time trying to find and quote your own excellent "let he who is without sin" post that I was nearly late for work.  Sadly, I couldn't find it so let me just say that, whilst my sin might not be *quite* the level you managed in that game, I have still sinned myself, so the screenshots I took of the chat window are safe with me sir ;-)

Well, met statpaddin' a division with Blogis, Chevy and Defcon in their respective Scharnhorsts and Sims. Tried to put them off-guard with some light taunting, but sadly it didn't work. The fact that my team refused to push for the objectives didn't help either, so we lost quite easily (scoreboard for proof). Was fun writing spam in the chat though .

In one evening in 3 successive games I saw Hurz, ShockPirat and Aerroon.

 

Shockpirat was manly in his Gneisenau and came top, leading the way. 

The game against Aerroon didn't go well and was my worst game of the night.

Saw LilJumpa in his Izumo, I was in 2xGneisenau 1xSims division. ROFLSTOMP game, we haven't lost a ship. Two of these running and gunning at 32kts are a sight to behold. Especially if you also have a Bismarck behind you. Clean sweep win for my last game of the evening.

It's probably because A). I'm proper rubbish in it, and B). I see an empty cap circle that the team refuses to go into and feel the calling to try to cap.

Oh, I had my fair share of fail today as well (my aiming was off bc I was sleepy), there are those days 

But if the enemy has only two caps there's no need for rushed actions (that's why I like to ask every DD to focus on one cap zone at the beginning).

And tbh you could have won if your DD stuck together and focused me. After that they could have capped and scared everyone else away - it was closer than it seemed and I was sweating!
