[MORIA] Durin_VI Players 375 posts 50,008 battles Report post #1851 Posted September 4, 2016 I am so sorry I didnt even greet you once in the game. Believe it or not, I didnt know a forumite was in the game. I dont know how, but every time you wrote something I was occupied with TS, occupied getting my [edited]of sinking but not yet sunk ru-cruiser (10/10 want to rageshoot some more) , or was simply not paying attention. Again very very sorry. I even had do look around for I had no idea which game or even which team (green/red) to look for ...... a game with at least a T 10 DD didnt exactly narrow it down today. But hey I found it eventually. Oh yeah this one. Good stuff lots of tense moments: OMG TORPS! - the whole time. At the beginning the Shimma and the Gearing cross-torped me. Getting into that cyclone brawl at B didnt exactly help avoiding torps either - but I rather die trying actually winning the game than hiding and loosing for sure. Also that Zao ..... I think its my first Zao kill in ages. No need to apologize; it is not like I am able to memorize the names of all the forumites (plus I am quite new here) and that one battle we were in together was really developing fast and chaotic

[SLOTH] txtspeak Players 3,041 posts 5,653 battles Report post #1860 Posted September 4, 2016 just met colonelpete. RNGsus had been on my side that entire evening. Dealt 4500 with an overpenetration, recieved 500 from an airdrop torpedo (in a cruiser) so of course as soon as I start bragging about it I evaporate instantly XD. let this be a lesson to you all: confidence is ignorance, If you're feeling cocky It's because theres something that you dont know. [TVO] xenopathia Players 386 posts 13,741 battles Report post #1862 Posted September 5, 2016 Also met xenopathia. That match was particular funny because literally no one shot at me. In my König ... and I mean NO ONE shot at me. Ever! As you can see, no tab for potential damage taken. So not only did no one ever hit me, no one ever as much as targeted me. To reiterate: I was steering the König and not exactly hiding. Those bloody buggers just ignored me! The gall of it!!! Just noticed m8 It was nice playing alongside you. Hope to meet again. [TVO] xenopathia Players 386 posts 13,741 battles Report post #1863 Posted September 5, 2016 Was in my Udaloi. Met Jethro_Grey in his Baltimore in the opponent team. They totally trashed us. He managed to kill 4 ships in our team in just 5-6 minutes Great skill. We made a division the next game and guess who was in the opponent team: The mighty Flamu: We lost honorably . it was a nice game though. If you ever come up to Jethro_Grey in a match, he is a fantastic team player. Great communication and movement very nice to play with.

Maybe we get lucky the next time we division up and meet Flamu again and then we gonna sink him! (unless he is a team mate, that'd be a bit awkward) In regards to teamplayer and communication: there are several dozen players who will disagree with you. ^^ I have the tendency to remind folks to not chicken around and i'm slowly getting the feeling that i'm not as charming when doing so as i think i am. [SCRUB] Aotearas Players 8,460 posts 13,076 battles Report post #1866 Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) Met Evoside again as we were both sailing our Scharnhorsts, though he didn't remember me. I made sure to pour one overpenetration into him as penance Sadly the match was rather underwhelming as easily half my team was a bunch of knobends that wouldn't know how to get out of a wet paper box if they had industrial wet paper box openers and instructions on how to use them ... three of our cruisers decided it would be a great idea to charge through the channel (yes, Two Brothers map) and the waiting Gneisenau (which was well spotted being there!), their inevitable demise was as unsurprising as it was facepalm inducing. I had to rush back to defend the B cap (or C cap, not sure right now) and basically take on a Tirpitz and a New Mexico all by myself whilst a friendly North Carolina (who actually played well!) took care of the Atago and at least managed to keep the Hipper's attention for until after I dealt with the Tirpitz and New Mexico. Almost got rammed by the Hipper but my guns reloaded literally the last splitsecond ... died to a fire set by him anyway with a second left on the damage control cooldown. Not that me surviving that fight on a sliver of health could've changed anything against that full health Fusou about to poke its head around the corner Hard fought game, sadly not well fought. And I have actually no idea how Evoside and his divisionmate performed other than them getting pretty good XP. Until we meet again. Heh... not by me though. I think I did 4-5k to you. Not for a lack of trying though. I was hunting the last two citadels for the mission... didn't even get one, even with the Saipan presenting a broadside to me for 84 shells in a row. Admittedly Saipan uses the Baltimore hull, so I didn't expect a torrent of citadels, but one or two surely? Oh and didn't you get First Blood? But your team just fell apart. The battleships had a weird priority. I thought I was dead and then some when I came around the island... but no, the Amagi decided to lob his shells over me at one of the Bismarcks. And then he ran away to join the others in a futile past-cap rush. It was honestly a little weird. I ended up caught with my pants down almost immediately - a suicidal Atago charged into B and left me with the choice of showing him broadside at 8km or giving it to the big fleet (that included you) at ~15km partially behind an island. I chose the latter, hoping that the BBs behind me would finish him quickly and in retrospect that was a mistake (the Atago still had HE loaded). I eneded up eating some citadels that reduced me to ~30-40%. Then, to top it off, the Atago (long dead by now ofc, possibly at my hands) had ofc gotten some last-ditch torps off and I ended up eating one, costing speed and repair party. Then you and your friends rounded the mountain... I was the first potato on that team to die with less than 15k to my name and, sadly, not the last. I alt-tabed out and waited for my Saipan friend to finsh, but it looked as though you had an OK game at least, even if you didn't finish your mission. Ah, that explained the somewhat peculiar movements. I thought you were being cute with the speed throttling. I thought I had you every time, but I was apparently a bad range aim, my shells splashed middle but long or short. I did do well. I think I ended up at 107k. Could have finished a little faster if I had used HE, but I concluded that I could survive spending a bit more time using the AP for citadels (I mean, your buddy was screwed regardless). At least I learned that you have to get closer in order to citadel a Saipan, and by extension a Baltimore with the Soviet 152mm.

[TOXIC] Kartoffelmos Alpha Tester 2,237 posts 8,884 battles Report post #1875 Posted September 7, 2016 Met Mister_Greek in his Russian sausage just now when I played my Ibuki. Sadly, my team's battleships did not go for the objectives (well, more than one at least) so we fought an uphill battle straight from the start. It didn't help that the enemy Khaba was allowed to freely do as he/she pleased either. At the very end of the game when facing the Moskva for a second time, I failed to notice a friendly Benson trying to give me smoke which might have led to his demise :<. On the bright side, I managed to get one torpedo hit at him, so at least I got something out of that encounter! Good game though, but I would liked to have more competent BB players on my side. Our Yamato even accused my for being a coward for some reason. It's not like the Ibuki is the best ship for tanking shells, so I'm not sure why he was complaining.
