Started out good, Amagi division wanted to rush A so I joined them to help with the inevitable DDs there. Turns out 3 of them from your team ended up there. Poped radar and we sunk 2, but Amagis ate lots of torps in the process and by that time your BBs (yourself included) showed up and moped the floor with them. Our other lines didn't hold so I quickly found myself alone facing gunfire from several directions. I'd like to complement your evasive maneuvers. Was really hard for me to land shots on you with Balmer's ballistics. Unpredictable turns and speed changes made life difficult for me. You were also almost impossible to hit... at 15+ km I think I only did 1000-2000-3000 damage in total (and that was with turrets firing separately - I think I tried just one full salvo)... unpredictable turns and constant movement... BTW, I also had not-so-great day yesterday... I did 100.000 average damage in my "Tirpitz" and 75.000 average damage in my "North Carolina" for just 58% WinRate... many many times it was simply impossible to win... Problem was that he knew I was close to him, so he began evasive manouvres. Was around 7 K from him. Just before I wanted to release my torps on him , I noticed an easier target (the other CV who was sailing right to me, instead of sailing away). I changed targets. After killing that CV went back for Daddy. He escaped in time. He did rather well as only survivor. Pitty we ran out of time. Would love to have him on my kill list. I was in my Ibuki and, after a not-so-stellar day, I decided to go full banzai mode and try to take down either him or any other of the destroyers that were swarming around. Hasn't ended too well for me, although I managed to take down a Fubuki and a... was it a Fletcher? I think it was. And then succumbed to torpedoes, fires, all those destroyer thingies! Sadly, most of our team appeared to be suffering from some form of Trypophobia (fear of holes or circles) and sailed away from the caps. I stupidly tried to screen our retreating BBs from an approaching DD and allowed myself to get pulled out of position and sunk (I should have left them to die and just played for the caps) and, probably sensing an imminent defeat VC381 sallied forth, nailed their DD and then YOLOd into a pair of enemy Tirpitz's, torping one of them before he went under and that was that. He came top of the tree & I derped miserably, dying with 10k damage just as k-p went "Stay alive please Khul..." Somehow, despite chasing the wrong ship (there was one enemy capping & one hiding in a corner), our surviving Kongo managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat with a literally last-second double citadel kill. I don't think any of them were good for my team, though, since I spent most of the day hanging with potatoes. A couple of High Calibers, averaging about 1.6k base xp on losses (well, for the high tier games; had a few crap low tier games as well), and stuff like that. Need to learn how to carry better. I just watched the replay to get a clearer understanding of what happened and man that Kirishima driver annoys me! When asked to help fight by using his HP to contribute and tank some damage he just responds "21km range" whilst sailing around miles from any cap zone, letting the team's DDs and CAs brawl. Watching the replay it's painful to see how a battle that we should have won relatively easily was basically thrown away by one player who just doesn't understand that cap zones matter in domination mode. Only a pure fluke shot with a couple of seconds to go won us a game we should have lost and the sad thing is he finished 3rd or 4th in the team and probably thinks we won because of him, when in fact we won despite him. That said, a real nail biter of a game. Also, I just realised you only died because you ran aground - unlucky. Was nice to meet you - we wrecked that Hatsuhara in B good and proper! He died very early in the game because our Cruisers were hiding behind a rock and didn't help with DDs which occupied the B cap. I pushed into B with my Yamato and was busy dodging torps, but the 4th wave of shima torps got me. Neither Icey nor me were very happy with the chicken gameplay of our CAs. Their explanation was: "there are two ships shooting in the cap circle". this makes the defeat less defeat-ish as you can't expect folks Chicken to put their ships on the line. Two games later made papedipupi in his CV our attempt to win a game impossible. He kept our BBs busy and he tried to Bomb me (Shima) with 3 Wings of DBs, but i got away only to get sunk by a lucky shot from a Tirpitz. Lots of casual gamers playing it seems.
