Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Met P4RDUS last night twice.  Firstly he was in my team and we had a well fought win.  Second time he was on the opposition... with another forumite that I forget the name of.  I can't remember that game specifically... perhaps it was the one where I stupidly ate 4 torps early on but my memory is terrible.

 

Then after that I had 3 games in a row with robihr as my team mate.  They really did epitomise the frustrations that I have with ranked games - 1 game included a YOLOing Indianapolis (4 enemy DDs and he literally sails into the middle of New Dawn and dies within 3 mins of round start) and a teamkill in the same game.  The next game was a win but not before all the DDs did their own thing and in the end left robihr horribly exposed and he died.  Looked like a loss but we clawed it back - but it was in no way an enjoyable win.  The final game we lose half of our DDs piecemeal with them fighting 1v3 and when we lose 1 DD the next decides it is his turn to fight 1v3 and dies.  In the middle of it the Pensa sits side on to their BBs and within a few minutes of the start it is 7v4.

I actually remember that game - your Kirishima was the first one I've seen in a random.  IIRC (which I probably don't) I was fighting someone else who was about to die and I was actually thinking to myself "right once this guy's gone, I'll take a look at that Kirishima!" but I think you got sunk yourself at that point.  If it is that battle, I then got carried away in a knife fight with 2 DDs and ate some torps which probably lost my team the game.  But was a good scrap :-)

Saw Yoshi last night in his Zao on my team. He was quite rightly berating our cautious Gearings in a DD heavy game that relied on us pushing hard and fast.

We won and he & his Div buddy played well.

I've met quite some forumites during my ranked battles session - papedipupi, ghost_swe, limonchiki, Teob_VG and many more. It's fun to see so many familiar faces around, although I'd always love to see you on my side, would make the grind a bit more enjoyable

I've met TOMBIEST in his Baltimore today. Was a good end for his team, but I could sank him with Ibuki torps. Was quite surprised how quick a Baltimore can decelerate!

Just saw Trigger_Happy_Dad in his Taiho. Enemy Essex decided to bomb a DD next tome. Result: 21 planes shot down. This was my last Des game for a while, until they do something with her turrets:

Saw P4RDUS on the enemy team in ranked battles on New Dawn. It would be rude not to pay tribute to his survivability in his myoko. I delibertately targeted him in my nagato when I saw him on the enemy team...sorry matey. You were a threat to my sanity.

I was in a team with THD in his Taiho against a Essex too.

The poor red team got terrible matchmaking and the game ended very quickly.

Aotearas and me met our ST ALUCARD1476 in a lovely painted Arizona.

 

He fought valiantly till he got overwhelmed, but not in vain at least: We won by capping while having them on the run anyway.

He got attacked by one of our own and I was so shocked that I got myself killed .. well .. honestly my third battle in Amagi and I have NO idea how to be useful in her as you can see from my stats.. x)

Quite a decisive victory which allowed me to reach rank 7.

Always good to have a great player on your team when you need to advance to the next rank.

I have seen similar action before.. Can't say if it was the same person but it went like this:

(TK) Hi Yuki! Speak to me!

(me on Skype to my friends) That's a bit strange...

(TK) YUKI! Speak to me or I'll torp (my friend in BB)...

(me on Skype to my friends) Are you ready for that? I am not going to speak to him..

(my friend) I'll be on the lookout, he's planes are circleing me...

(TK) SPEAK TO ME NOW OR HE'LL DIE!!!

..

anyhow, it went on for a bit and then that TeamKiller torpd my friend.

So basically similar situation we had.

He demanded that you'd acknowledged his presense and then he attacked.

Like I said, that was my third battle in Amagi and I am SO lost with her.. But few sober battles and I think I'll see the light.. (I mostly play while drinking with friends xD)

Met Takru a little while while ago in a Ranked match. Unfortunately he was on the enemy team.

We were both in our Blyskawica and after an initial gunfight for the caps my entire team died leaving me alone against five enemies.

In the end and after an intense gun duel, me and Takru killed each other almost simultaneously. He finished first of his team with 4 kills and over 2600 base xp!

Ah! He didn't show broadside to a BB in that battle? Guess he must have learned something! (I 1 shot him in his "oh so secret and I cannot speak about it Indi" in a wonderful match. didn't see that 1 on YT though.) Compliments Flamu! (IMO he's the most arrogant of all "community contributors in the game. Look at his vids. Killstealing and "[edited] whis and [edited] that. Sucker!!)

Just met Crusherheads in his Iowa on my team whilst I was grinding in my Japlanta.  He dominated to finish first and I grabbed second place.   I got very annoyed with an enemy Kiev who outranged me and repeatedly set fire to me so I was immensely satisfied when Crusherheads cornered him at about 4km and nuked him.  Was a really nice battle, quite even until it finally swung our way for the win :-)

We ( havaduck, DJ_DIE and I ) also met Flamu, but in a random game playing the Anshan. We had such a rare luck with matchmaking ( our Nagatos agaist their Kongos ), that we did not need Flamu to trash them.

I had the good fortune of getting into my first match of the night with my Lexington pairing up with Kann_Nix_Extreme in his Essex. He will gladly attest to how I've managed to pull off a very good game despite being half drunk! :p Glad to see you around, and thanks for drawing the enemy team's attention to your higher-tiered planes. 

 

TheIdesOfMarch93 really stole the show that day, half drunk or not please don't glorify my poor decision to get into draining dogfights over and over again, that was just poor play ^^ I really sucked that day, so the 6/6 torp hit on Derpitz felt like christmas!

Well thats your opinion then. He might be arrogant and salty sometimes but I guess noone can deny that hes a great player. Seems like you are a bit jelly since he probaly outplayed you a few times but it could also be that you kinda dont perform on higher tiers who knows
