Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Met Unintentional_Submarine on the enemy team.  He was in a 2-person Mahan division, in one of those games where MM balances the overall number of tiers, not the classes or ship types.  So his team had their 2 tier 7 Mahans and another DD and we had me in my tier 6 Mutsuki and another DD.  Domination mode, 3 caps.

 

I started middle so went to the middle cap (B) and spotted both the Mahans.  Sent a few torp spreads into their direction before the spotted me, then I just legged it.  Took some hits as I ran away and they capped before heading off to another cap ©.  Decided to try and cheekily take B back from them whilst they were in C but they were so fast that they managed to cap C and come back to B before I could cap it.  I sent a few more torps in their direction but to no avail and was shortly sunk having done literally nothing.  Damn those Mahans are fast! :-(

 

Quit battle, played Fuso (damn that Fuso is slow!) and came back to find the team had won anyway (thanks team).  Realised I had 5 wins from 5 for the session (my luck was good last night) so called it a day.

I've seen Karma_Happy_Dad today - twice actually. It was nice playing with him, in the second battle he got a bit unfortunate with his team despite their DD advantage suiciding into us one after another. Good games though! Also ran into C4rm4 the other day and Teob_VG with his triple Gearing division - making my team's life pretty harsh but we managed to overcome them as a team.

 

If it's the match I think you're talking about, we were crap. Scared your Yamatos but the cyclone sort totally screwed us over as we couldn't gauge the threat heading our way (Atago, Moskva, Gearing - you, Benson and another CA) and 2 of us were on less than half health.

 

I am starting to dislike that storm/cyclone thing and it will be especially horrible next patch when radar will ignore it.

Ahhh I did think I recognised one of the Mutsukis we met. But Mahans are actually rather slow and sluggish, however two vs one in capping made the difference. And of course, Speed Boost ftw.

Oddly enough I didn't remember it being a loss... wasn't it on Estuary? Or was it on Trident?

 

Today I have met cherry2blost and Zgicc in DDs in Ranked. Both on enemy teams. Naturally I told my teammates that they were a serious danger and they dutifully complied. I didn't engage in chat banter as in Ranked I am slightly more serious (I will answer if poked of course). Zgicc did well in his Grem, pushing my team back from the center and capping), but quickly took a big hit that left him with little health, which sort of leaves a Grem rather limited. I didn't see the fate of cherry as it was on the other side of the encounter zone from me, but it looked like a torp caught his Kamikaze.

In both cases I don't believe that either could have carried their teams... too heavy, while my teams were really good teamplayers.

Saw Eturnus_Damnatio in his Khaba the other day. He died to my Tirpitz defending the B cap while the NC and Des Moines on his team sailed into the sunset and lost the game.

Yes that was a decent battle. But you are always at the mercy of your team !

Saw Teob_VG a couple of times, together with Gubi20. With both of them (in different games) managed to end up as top scorers. Very enjoyable matches.

pretty sure it was cro_pwr in a Fuso today in ranked. After I had rammed a kongo in my shredded cleveland, he picked off a ognevoi and then brutalized a 2k Konigsberg to win us the round.

That battle was quite painful and not too well played from me. After running away for a bit from your giant amount of ships on that side of the map, I tried to slow down your push, but I wasn't successful at that.

Trust me, the loss was even more painful for me. We split up and ran back to our cap since there was a Fubuki and MK contesting it. Knowing that Fubuki was there I couldn't point my bow straight towards MK and dodged some torps while at the same time firing at MK and Fubuki. Ate one fish in the process and MK disabled one and permanently killed one of my front turrets. This is the sole reason the both lived with 1000 HP between each while I went swimming. My division mate ran into the same Fubuki from the other side of the island and ate 2 fish which sealed the game as a loss...

 

Ended the game with +150k dmg and net positive some 200k silver. Oh well.

Starting to hate DM simply because I lose turrets so often when sailing her. 

Yo, I gonna let you finish, but DM is the bestest of the best You don't love her, she won't love you. And she will grow fat. And depressed. And it's all your fault.

 

In the meantime, met robihr on rankeds. He played well and their team won. But, alas, that was my last defeat that day, and further 10 games provided straight wins. 

 

Also meet Teob_VG, twice. First game was pretty boring, as we covered behind some rocks, taking some pew pews at us. Second was pretty nice though. Teob team was winning initially, but BB's left me to my devices, which allowed me to flank deeply. This costed them Fuso, Indianapolis and Schors, and prevented from capitalising on push. Nice game!

Ran in SkybuckFlying - it was a short and pretty uneventful match because my team's shots found their targets for a change. He lost but it was nice to see a familiar name in the hell that is ranked battles

Just ran into strangers123 in his Ryujo, he was on my team - also this was the match where I reached rank 15 (since I switched to Fuso I didn't lose a single star...my Cruiser games were not that great... ^^), getting high caliber and having an overall great team for a change.

Much POI spam in the chat because of strangers I guess  

Confident in his ability to keep their CV at bay plus with a Cleveland at my side we pretty much rushed in and shot them to pieces. Strangers killed one of their DD I pinged on the mini map seconds before and replied "what's there?" 

 

Great CV player and his presence boosted our team spirit

Met cro_pwr in a ranked match. I thought my team was doomed for sure, but we actually won the match... The ARP Kirishima accusing me of hacking was... interesting...  (I exited from an island 4kms from him, smoked up and torped him. He said I went invisible at 3kms. Probably zoomed in and didn't see the smoke).

Met T_H_O_R in ranked. His team melted and left him playing hide and seek with 6 of ours. Luckily he got top of losing so no star loss

Saw Dropsiq in ranked in an indianapolis. Warned team about him being quite good. Managed to kill him myself (although some nice angling from him)
