[SCRUB] Aotearas Players 8,460 posts 13,076 battles Report post #1276 Posted May 23, 2016 Just met von_chom ... sadly MM went to strange places: Game was a predictable loss since no one dared to push and to sub salt in the wound the bloody cyclone (I HATE that stupid cyclone, completely wrecks the teamwork when you can't asist people becaise spotted enemies won't render for you outside of 8km distance, bloody BS!). And there was one charming fellow who felt it necessary to belittle me for pointing out the funny MM ("ROFLMAO, MM had a seizure" is apparently moaning around and being a pussy). Their team completely wrecked us, felt a bit bad Boring game! Spent whole time fending off planes, spotting Yamato and dueling with shima and gearing. I had the Budyonny and he had the Texas, didn't really see what he was doing as I was busy on the other side of the cap luring Isokazes in the open, but we were the top scorers at the end. I have the honor to usually play in division with Cosseria and yesterday met ShockPirat in our team: great battle, I was third with my Fuso, one point from ShockPirat with 3 kills... I was in my tirpitz with another tirpitz and we were both rushing in on a NC who had got himself in all kinds of trouble sitting bow on. I was swinging from side to side to get my torps launched from about 4km away (hit 3) when I got a torp warning and found that Kashuken was torping from the second line - several km behind us. Since I was full turn starboard I couldn't get out of it fast enough and ate 2 torps from him. This, he let me know, was of course all my fault and I guess I deserved the torrent of abuse he sent my way. Could definitely use that as an argument against kill missions as there was no good reason for him to torp there otherwise - and he even told me to 'shut up no kills' despite the fact that my 0 kills resulted from being effectively teamkilled since I died about 4 seconds after he torped half of my health away. I send an initial salvo his way which missed, then a second which scored 5 hits and an incapacitation after which he stayed at very long range. I'm afraid to say though, that I then focus fired him quite a lot, sending no less than 94 shells in his direction (that's 9 salvos!), out of a total of 260 fired throughout the whole battle. But he's very good at dodging shells and I couldn't hit him again. In the end our carrier swamped him in torpedoes and bombs. You did just that, they stopped pushing and gave me time sink the DD, cap and defend until the right flank powered through. Hmm, maybe I do have to rewatch that replay file to see what I missed, but to think me getting my nose stomped in would kill their momentum like that sounds almost sad.
