Just met ilhilh in his Saipan while I was in my Shokaku. With the exception of giving me a few easy strafing opportunities he played pretty well and ended up on top of his team, but his team played pretty badly and my team won.

Last night I had the Honor to meet Evoside and another forumite divisioning with him (forgive me if I have forgotten your nick, even if I cheered you first) in a standard battle in Islands of ice. Evoside had a Yamato and his mate a Moskva while I was in a Benson.

They both did a very good job holding back hordes of Gearings and Iowas while I merely tried to survive between radar sweeps from a Des Moines and torp carpets from the usual Fubuki. My contribution was limited to getting the last shot on the Fubuki and trying to lure their last ships out of the narrows by going in and out of cap.

The funny part was the discussion (and the ensuing actions) about the opportunity to cap or not; I asked the usual "cap or kill" and at first the situation was uncertain so I got told to cap; eventually the balance shifted and I was asked to get out, but it was darn close to the end and I had to overboost to bring the bucket out of cap in time. First time I had to do such a thing, usually it's the other way round ^^

Finally I met some people from forum. Two first games of a day and two people, how nice.

First game was with my biggest fan on forum so 22cm. I was a bit suprised, but he gave very useful advice at the start of the game and overall I would not mind playing with him again. Small banter, very fast and decisive win. Nothing to complain.
Second game was with Aotears once again on my team and once again very swift game... a bit too swift for my taste, but what can you do.

Those enemy CVs must've REALLY hated their pilots. He just kept sending his planes at my Pensacola. I was genuinely miffed that I didn't get enough for a Clear Skies in the end (the changed achievement requirement is bullocks imho)

 

 

 

 

Also had another game with Lightbaron and Hanszeehook on the enemy team. Was my first ever match in the New Orleans, but teammates and RNG worked against me. None of the accompanying cruisers actually made an effort to shoot their DDs and RNG really trolled me hard with that Chapayev ... first salvo was a triple citadel hit, second and third salvo (on a nearly stationary and full broadside Chapayev) hardly hit the same post code and those shells that did only overpenned. I was sunk quickly thereafter.

Yea... I was afraid to say hi when I was in CV and you were in a tier higher CV.  My team was all round bad as I didn't even do that great at all and still came top.  It would have been nice if they didn't collapse quite so bad, but I couldn't have kept up my plane losses in the long run

Last night, i came across LilJumpa (ARP Myoko) and Ferry_25 (Tirpitz) in the same match!

Unfortunately, they were on the enemy side. The map was "Tears of  the desert" and i was in my ARP Myoko as well.

My team won in the end but the fellow forumites managed to come second and third in base XP.

Ran into Waxx25 last night with Mar_all, and while we did end up killing him (and he killed Mar), he had dragged us away enough that I had a long distance to the cap, and once there our own cap was under threat... So victory to his team, despite it being one giant mess of a potato gratin all around.

Did I comment early in the game on where everyone was going? If so, I was doing ok-ish in the end but since I was the last one iirc we still lost? Iirc I finally had a > 100k game again in Impy so it was slightly fun even in the loss ).

was good match. unfortunately i had the C hull benson with only 4 turrets (stupid clan training) otherwise that extra turret would have led to VICTORY AND FREEDOM!!!! lol.

Met Eternitus_Damnitus(spelling, wot is dat?) in randoms a couple of days ago. His/her platoonmate was a bit miffed that I only shot him with HE (Yorck vs Nagato at 15km range) and not the CAs.

In Northern Lights fortunately had division of Ishiro32 in Saipan and ZombieCheese in Blyskawica.

Because half the team went for that retarded border humping route and for long match looked rather bad because of too spread out forces.

 

Did 98k damage with 261 HE hits (out of 507) and 12 fires eventually frying one Nagato.

Also enemy Ranger apparently wasted one whole "reload" of squads trying to hit me netting one downed plane.

I only halfly saw it. Guess you had bad luck: picked the point where the enemy cruisers and DD's converged. I've been in that situation dozens of times and mostly didn't live to tell the tale either! My motto is: BLuNT. (better luck next time).
