Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Ran into Lightbaron in his Shima while in my Kagero. I super derped my repairs and got killed by early - by Lightbaron guns no less. He almost carried his team, but in the end my team won with the clock running out.

 

Had a great string of games with Kurbain and Aotereas earlier. Me in a Hatsu and them in Pensas, all but one game came down to the wire and they played exceptionally well, supporting me while spotting and cleaning up enemy DD's for me while I was knife-fighting them. We placed in the top quarter for xp every game and even all scored above 1500 base xp each on a loss once. 

 

I think it's been said before: if we write about all the forumites we division up with, that's all this thread would consist of. It's supposed to be formumites we meet randomly in random battles

 

Question:

 

Did you guys seen any forumites on the public test server ? =D Been wondering about that ! =D

I met Ishiro32 in his Saipan on Land of Fire yesterday. He was quite naughty and decided to shove an airplane torpedo up the rear of my Pepsicola. 

 

Unfortunately just as I was about to get my revenge on him his team won the game.

Actually all I did after killing you there while derping into an island myself was running from cap to cap to avoid being outcapped early and spamming around torpedoes in the hope to hit something.

It wasn't really that much damage wise but I got a lot of xp for all the cap points.

In the end it became really close again. Well played there from your team to secure victory.

 

I really like my guns on the high tier IJN DDs. People disregard them because of the low reload and turret traverse but with a few skills they can make good damage because of the really high HE Alpha they have.

A full stealth Kagerou can invisi fire from 8.9km which allows to even invis fire enemy DDs sometimes when they are shooting at other targets.

Oh it was just a friendly quick push up the rear, you were always in a good position so anything more fancy was impossible and I kinda wanted to mess with you a bit if there was a good occasion.

 

And at the end of the game, I kind regret that I could not rush into you and ram you. i assume you did spot my CV near the island. You had so many fighters around you, but it was still fine, it would be fun challange.

 

Anyway it's always great to meet a known name. Thanks for the game ^^

That's actually the third time we've met. First one I was in NM you were in Murmansk IIRC. We got roflstomped. The second time you were on the opposing team and witnessed my one and only time ever being sniped in Hiryu by a strike Ranger. Thought luck would change this time. Last night I was in a Fubuki. Bloody CV kept me perma spotted almost the entire match. I had to run back to my fleet to get rid of the circling bombers twice! Two of my division mates ran into their whole fleet on cap A and fell first. By the time I finally launched some torps we won just as they were about to hit enemy Iowa. No, luck did not change. This was by far my worst Fubuki game to date. Scored no gun or torpedo hits, capped no bases - all I did was evading shells while being perma spotted.

 

Not like the follow-up game was any better. That one had T10 CVs and we had a bad CV driver. Enemy Hakuryu parked bombers over all our DDs. Again useless the whole match... Seen CVs in 4/5 matches played the whole evening.

Saw TeaCupYuri & Scrappygwilly yesterday they were in a division of amagi/tirpitz I was on other side in Shima. They won the match as our CV took his planes on a scenic route through AAville which didn't end well.

Well, I had pretty boring games. I'm currently a little damage whore, as I want my record back on Des, so I focus on dealing damage. In that game we played I did around 50k damage, pretty meh. But we won, sooo, I guess that's ok I had pretty meh evening, lost 2, won 6, in one game I was having a chance, but we won because some Shima capped their base (despite my advice to let me sunk them ) and I capped ant 180k damage :< 

I must apologise, but I don't remember the previous 2 games. I think I somewhat remember the Murmańsk game, it was Fault Line was it?

No need to apologize, those games happened months ago. And no, it was North IIRC. Not sure how you got sunk there, but I was burned to the ground by CAs in NM.

 

Also had boring games last night. 3 won, 2 lost. The last one was ok in Baltimore. Dueled 3 DDs on Two Brothers in cap C and combed some torps. Drove them off, dealt some citadels and went to bed after.

oh i think i remember that game. yeah your CV wasn't the smartest especially as me and yuri both have strong AA on those respective ships and our des moines popped round the corner at the right moment. was it your shima which took us down in the end? wasn't our best game maybe too aggressive on the push but didnt seem to get support from the cruisers. ah well GG if it was your shima it was a good drop.

Just met pastaiolo playing in his Texas on Fault line where unfortunately he was sunk before i even got a look at that fancy boat of his.

The battle was uneventful where i was capping their base before a rude Cleveland interrupted my cap and i had to feed him some torps in return but before i could resume the dd's on pasta's team where able to cap out my base.

Anyway it was nice to see pasta and have a chance to say hi.

 

Oh yeah. Less nice i ate all those torps but such is life

Met sorted_uk twice today. First game his team could not handle ours so we won. The second match he had Dropsiq with 2 division mates on his team. I went aggressively towards the Dropsiq flank only to discover that my teammates decided to fight bravely in the opposite direction (somebody has to show that border right? ) so my one man crusade turned more into me being a pinata for Dropsiq and his mate and whatever else was having fun with me. Not a very exciting game but sorted_uk did well
