I met Crooq_Lionfang, skvido and SteeL_J4MES all at the same time in the enemy team yesterday on the Tears in the Desert map. Unfortunately my team didn't stand much of a chance against such a concentrated force of forumites.

 

Crooq tanked for the team in his Izumo, skvido was giving out free AP samples on his Hindenburg and SteeL_J4MES in his Hakuryu sent our DDs to the bottom of the ocean pretty quickly.

Nice work!

 

Unfortunately most forumites I meet in battle seem to end up in the enemy team. You don't need to be afraid to be on the same side as me, guys.

Had a game with 159Hunter. He was in his Khaba and I was in my Benson. We won the game, but Hunter couldn't track down the last Shimakze.

It's much more fun being able to coordinate attacks.

 I predicted you would get your revenge after I sank your Buddy a few weeks ago. As for my team, I think they got a bad case of stage fright when I told them they were live on twitch. Hopefully we'll have a more interesting battle next time we meet.

I never see anybody from the forum 

I'm all set up with Teamspeak running and need a few partners. 

 

I only play tiers 1 to 3 at the moment... So that's probably an issue. 

 

Search ingame for the "Forumites" channel (capital "F" is important) made by Sturmtiger.

Lots of forumites hang around and the channel gets nice and full around the evening so it's easy to find pople to play with, though with the lower tiers you might have some issues as not everyone kept some low tier ships to play with.

Was good fun, had a couple more later on at T4 (scawl bought a phoenix so  I didn't have to  'borrow' my son's account) First time in division and TS for Scawl and we worked pretty well as a team. I had forgotten how much fun T3 is.

New to these forums so don't recognize many people yet (other than a few familiar faces from WoT - hello bushwacker001 above ^) but whilst browsing another thread just now I noticed a familiar name right at the bottom of the page in the "x user(s) are reading this topic" section - namely _Necropoliz_

 

I remember the name because a) I have an old live role playing shield with the word necropolis on it and b) _Necropoliz_ was on my team last night and not only carried us hard but gave me some solid advice and support.

 

 _Necropoliz_was in a tier 3 cruiser (didn't see what one) whilst I was in my Watakake.  Map was Straits Somalian Somolon Solomon:

 

 

 _Necropoliz_, myself and another cruiser captured point A and then pushed up round the corner.  We met a cruiser or battleship and between the 3 of us sank it, then _Necropoliz_ told me to run up the 1/2 line to find the enemy carrier lurking up there and that he would support me.  On the way an enemy cruiser tried to chase me down (good luck with that, I was boosting all the way!) whilst _Necropoliz_ provided support.  Figuring that the cruiser chasing me was going to be a problem eventually, I turned briefly to chuck a couple of torpedo spreads his way to try and force him to turn away, then returned to concentrating on trying to set fire to the enemy Hosho to shut down his flight deck.  A few seconds later my torpedoes connected with the enemy cruiser and he sank.  

 

I made a mess of my attack on the carrier and someone else got him but the result was the same.  Meanwhile, most of the rest of our team had died as a powerful surface force had swung around C and wiped them out.  So we had our carrier, _Necropoliz_, another cruiser and my DD versus 4, 5 or maybe even 6 enemy ships - definitely 1 of which was a DD and the rest were (I think) cruisers.  We held point A but they had B and C.  _Necropoliz_ told me to take C whilst he steamed straight into B, where their DD was lurking and their entire fleet was heading.  I genuinely expected him to get blown to pieces before he could do anything but he not only killed the enemy DD but also took out a cruiser, all whilst trying to warn our carrier that he was too close to the enemy.  Sadly, our carrier either didn't notice or couldn't do anything about it and was sunk, but not before his planes managed to take out another enemy ship.  _Necropoliz_ capped out B before finally succumbing to enemy fire and sinking, whilst I capped C and with many enemy ships sunk all 3 caps circles under our control the battle quickly ended.  

 

A really fun game, made all the more enjoyable by someone with a bit more experience offering support and guidance,  First thing I did when the game was over was send him a compliment :-)

We still won, the Tirpitz on my flank pushed really hard and got his deserved Kraken all the while I did only 70k damage but tanked quite a bit against some bad enemy BB's. I'd wish Trollspite was quicker I could have gotten some more damage in.. the funniest thing the whole match was a Tirpitz which was holding his fire at least 1:30m because he thought I might be stupid enough to show him a broadside ( I didn't, kept angle and only used front guns until he finally shot so I could get all four turrets in action.. I am not stupid   ).

 

Don't think it was really your fault, your entire flank didn't look that well for a long time and only during mid game I felt the tides were turning ( mostly because the Tirpitz on my flank was so aggressive people on right flank were coming back to help defend against him ).

I dont understand how you guys can remeber names off people in the forum when you play. I have a pretty simple name to remember because its an actuall name but many off the other in here its impossible to remember when you play. Right now someone on the other team recognized me and said hallo in gamechatt but when i tried and searched his name here nothing comes up?

 

Did this forum have a group or division in WOW where you could play with other forummembers?
