Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Cant exactly remember what happened in that game, all i remember from it was:

- My 3rd Smaland game. Am happy.

- Notices BLUB__BLUP In the FDR.

- Isn't he like a CV main??

- Team Starts falling apart... as they do 

 

Still trying to get used to the DD gameplay without smokes tho 

Was fun having playing with you, even thought you were the enemy

Well our team was kinda @^@# as well. Someone at other end of map cursing at me for "not giving air support, FCK CV -1". 

We had many many more on the left side than your team, but our BBs turn tail... 

Only my tenth game in it though I still have to get to grips with it, but:

...and nope not a CV main, the only class I do not play much is DDs (as my son plays them, we regularly div up and he is much much better).

I play BBs and cruisers sort of equally often to CVs. There's not many CV players in my clan though so "dirty jobs, someone gotta do it".

The FDR is sort of like Ark Royal, but filthier. Slow planes and the main skill is to learn how to loiter around for second drop without getting killed off.

It makes a helluva lot more damage though, although I have so far done more in Ark Royal.

Mind that I have 634 battles in Ark Royal... 3x the amount that I have in Lexi which is next up... I have 50 in Midway and 30 in Hakuryu.

Maybe you'd better call me "Ark Royal main" (more battles than all the rest together).  But yes I know how to play CV... ehh... well... a bit.

Yes that was a hilarious match, our side could have messed it up at any time really. 

Should have been 200K but even that they managed to mess up. 

Your div did very very well though. If you had one more divvie you might have won. Top team, congrats.

And it sure wasn't me pulling the other team... can't even carry in a the most broken OP carrier (yet).

But I will learn...

Some days ago, @Ze_Reckless' Friesland in one flank while my Musashi covered the other. Recently, at the battle I knocked off my Gaede's snowflake, @NikolayKuznetsov (Lightning) and @ItachiZero (Charles Martel) divisioned and crimson, but unfortunately their CV commited suicide.

Unlikely, mate...   I use the womanizer these days or what ever they call it. I've been 'Murazon' and a lot of other people since then, some with lots of numbers, some with other awkward nics as well.

Yeah Cvs are broken but this... who do they think I am, I am not @El2aZeR !! 

FDR is a tough one and in my opinion doesn't deserve the word "OP" when it has superiors in Randoms and ranked in the other CVs (midway!). But, it seems there are some capable of making it work in some mystical ways, though I have yet to figure out the dark magic required.

Remember that, 3km knife-fight, your Gaede with support vs my lightning without support to even the odds, was fun.

The "dark magic" is similar to Ark Royal. Planes are slow, squads are large, you'll eat FLAK where other CVs will not.

So, avoid FLAK-ships when you still have a large squad. If you have halved it or just 2 "shots" left, then you can go in.
Or decide when it is "worth it" to lose a bunch of planes. If you do not screw up you cannot get deplaned and you will be spotting almost all the time.

But. I'd say CVs like Kaga are much easier. Midway is too. Hakuryu is even better. Manfred is potentially superior but harder in some ways. 

As in, Manfred will kick like a mule where it hurts, but when this fat elephant Roosevelt gets to you, you are simply flattened.

 

It is VERY easy to farm taters, same as Ark Royal (3 torps and a load of bombs vs 8 torps and a sh..load of bombs).

Just depends how many the reds get, and the amount of taters in your own team decides how long you can farm.  Insane scores are possible. 

So far 100k_160K is the general thing in an average game. If lower, then either you screwed up or game lasted 5 minutes.

Quite sure I'll get better... daaamnnn man it is filthy... just a matter of time/luck before I kick the 300 (400?) K. 

 

How badass is it? Well... So far 24 games and average damage is almost 100K... highest 185K...and the captain doesn't even have concealment...

Also mind I'm not THAT good, just a bit savvy... you should know though... both your WR and average damage in FDR are higher than in Midway

yeah, there's also a significant skill gap between me now and when I first played midway though. But I think you're pretty much right in the other regards, I also should take care about flak heavy ships, I'm just not used to actually even considering AA .

Well you look more liek Masterrr @El2azer than me. But I'll go for that Halland and that Mino and that Wooster anyway. 

Maybe I shouldn't, tonight all I had was ROFLSTOMPS ending in 10 minutes (stillmanage 50-100K).

But, here's the thing. It's not like I am even improving WR.IfI out-XP the other CV by 50%, doesn't matter.

Even when I kill the greatest threaths they probably take that as a startsign to tater to death. 

 

Maybe I should just farm at will and not give a flying F?

Played against @NikolayKuznetsov in his Ohio, unfortunately his team was on the wrong side of the force, complete steamroll. They only sunk one ship from my team, the other was red Hindi who blew himself up (torped fellow teammate I guess?). I was in Hayate, made a first kill (Z-52) contesting the cap, then helped kill Shima in another, and that was it, just spotting for my team for few mins and over... Shame it came up like that, win for me but I don't like games like this one, no time to farm any damage. Better luck next time and hopefully on the same team :) Salute!

@Yedwyin his somers, me in DM, on ranked. He was nice enough to smoke me, although not necessary, and got my compliment for not suiciding in the first second like 90% of the effing dds there. I ended yesterday on rank 2, and it took me over 10 games to rank out because ppl just suicide for no reason whatsoever (or stay at J line until reds have 950 points).

Naturally, I blew up in the first minute or so - according to solemn tradition - due to, in part, failing to notice the opposing Okhotnik right in front of me while I was typing 'hello' into chat...!

Oh, yeah I remember just freshly exchanging hails, when you popped up in cap. I briefly thought whether it would be terribly impolite to shoot you, but then again you were the most prominent target and our Okhotnik seemed outnumbered. So sorry about that BB-spray-and-pray. I can't say I contributed much else. Ofc, I need to mention my div mate @asalonen, who so skillfully defended his flank in his Krasny Krym.

I wouldn't say it was a misplay. The Okhotnik and you kept each other spotted. There were 2 more DDs on the flank against that Okhotnik. Your team had more guns on that Okhotnik than our team had on you. So it was a reasonable calculated risk on your behalf that your team would kill that Okhotnik faster than our team would kill you, allowing you to go dark. It just so happened that your team mates shot different targets and so the Okhotnik survived just long enough for us to get you.

Met @Skyllon in the Friesland in a rather weird ranked match today. His team's Kleber rushed into a Daring and my Småland while being radared by me. Needless to say, she went down without accomplishing much but she had the option to turn away or reverse into island cover, so I'm not sure what the plan was.

 

I'm do not know exactly what happened on Skyllion's flank but I was nervous that my Harugumo team mate would be sunk by him, giving the enemy team free reign to push. Nevertheless, a lucky fire (I think) resulted in a trade.

Harugumo and one of his BBudies was a bit too much for Friesland. Was hoping for little bit of help from FDG, but he was too busy shooting BBs, doing casual Taktikal^TM retreat... Oh well...

 

Sorry for lack of compliment, unfortunately (and surprisingly) run out of them...

 

BTW, there's no 'i' in my nick...  No clue why it gets written like that so often. Guess one of Universe mysteries...
