But it wasn't enough as I had Kaga (in the mission "get 25 floodings with CV"for the RN cruiser...) so I just kept spamming them. In the end all we needed was the DD dead, so... well... I hit him but no kill. Of course not... Same as I could not kill Rnat, duh, well I tried, as he had just torped our Baltimore (saw it happening... urrtggghhh, well, that Balti had it coming...). I dropped my bombs on Rnat but the Bismarck beat me to it and blapped him 0.00001 sec before my bombs could hit. That just about happened every time so meagre score and no kills for me. Well played Rnat (nice kill on that Balti) but no cigar. Thought it was nice to finish the night after re-grinding RU BBs for hours.. Oh buoy! how wrong I was! 1 DD game, their GROZOVOI, capped 2 caps.. with pushing cruisers.. using smoke smartly, torped our BBs, dakka dakka from smoke.. where we had YY, on 10 line all battle, torping from max range! our cruisers capped one, but we lost 3 of them in the process.. I asked our DD why he is not capping, we cannot win by that way.. he said.. and I quote! "It is not my job to cap!" EZ win for you this time.. Everytime my team piss me off i have to play the Haku or Midway the next game... Because spreadsheets says its balanced. I saw you guys in the lineup so i asked my team to be a bit aggressive and told them that i would spot as much as i could. Also that i would rebalance you're Smolensk. (That is one of my favorite things to do. Think he figured out that sitting still behind an island camping when there is a Haku with AP bombs around was a bad idea). And they listened... I know! Wooot!!!? Oh and your YY was something speshul indeed. I spotted him the first time after what? 7-8 min? Saying that tho, i feel bad as my teams was like yours all day yesterday. They just sit back camping not doing jack st, but as soon as i play a CV they grow some nuts and started playing. Guess i have to play CV's all the time now then. Twice meeting @Muppeteer, twice in opposite teams and him in a CV, no need to mention the obvious outcomes. While finishing the Fuso grind towards Nagato in Aegis, @Odo_Toothless' Dunkerque IIRC was there, but I only noticed in the post-battle results. My Nelson also spawned right in the middle of a division by @Yoshanai and some other THESO members. Before the current patch arrived, @Infiriel's Asashio and my Takao had a close encounter in the middle of Estuary. Of course with a forumite now eyeballing my performance I felt inclined to make a good show out of it and put on my carry shoes. And this I did, as this game ended up possibly being my highest damage game ever without having received a single award. Too bad it was still a loss with me nearly having equal bxp to the top in the winning team. We lost by the other team reaching 1k points while the FdG was down to 1200hp or so with me and the Friesland trying to kill him and some hapless Izumo closeby ready for some torps. You were basically the only support that I had and I already got radared there once causing me to have to abandon that cap at first. One lesson I learned from @djfast is to always have an escape route planned and you forgot about yours I got radared a LOT during that match btw, I think at the least 4 times. That 12km radar is a bit too much imo. It should have like 15s radar duration at the most or nerfed range (but the latter would have other unwanted implications). The former one was really infuriating due to a Moskva and a Yamato that hid behind the easternmost island for half the game, only leaving it well after the cap zone activated in order to farm the last shots and keep the star. The latter, OTOH, neared textbook levels of teamplay: friendly DDs providing scout at the border of the enemy radar, big guys at the proper distance and with unobstructed line of fire, red destroyers and radars focused and sunk or badly crippled on sight.
