Nobody was helping the B-cap (my divvy was there in his Sims, yes faildivision again) and even though you were spotted nobody seemed too much interested in blapping your floating citadel (and your team actually supported, mine did FF-all). Wasn't a case of your team being better, mine just sucked A REAL BIG LOAD of heaps more... You were a bit lucky to escape a few smoke-torps... that said, probably the MOST EVIL Leander I ever met in my CV. If anyone asks "just dodge" well you showed how it is done. Man it is easier to feed torps to DDs than to your floating citadel. You almost ate more planes (28) than the whole rest of your team (31). I kept Fiji and Edinburgh too... (meanwhile I have Mino). Someday I'll get Perth and Hung-he as well (because they are Leanders). For T6, they are stronger than Fiji at T7 IMO... We were actually talking about the options we have and we thought, we have this game by points. That your Gearing will make it into B, was clear, but we thought u didnt make C in time. I can't remember ever having seen a radar-Mino going into B-cap on Tears of the Desert. Not only did he do that, he survived, supported my DD and even refused to be smoked up. Although I normally prefer to play Minotaur in the open, certain maps and game modes allow to stick deep into a cap behind an island and deny it hard if the flanks are covered: B in Tears is one of them just like B in Greece, the easternmost cap in Hot Spot is another, and even Ice Islands' epicentre lets you do it. Since there isn't always a friendly DD available I tend not to count on their smokes unless I coordinate about it from the very beginning (+3 karma on another battle during that session where I did so with a Gearing, plus some other deeds). Remember that you entered B from the open water side while I did it from the island one. Also while playing Minotaur I encountered @Corvi in his, but in opposite teams. It's a bit hard to win when, among your team, you're the only cap-taker, and the only kill-scorer for almost five minutes. And even before, sneaking into A cap in Sleeping Giant with @MortenTardo's Stalingrad as close support for the breakthrough, although I potatoed later on while acting as a DD hunter. I had too, and of course I spawned sideways with my nose in the wrong direction - AKA the whole team lemminged the other way. DUHH!!! That was not really a problem, neither was half the enemy team that was coming for me. I'd kill them... except... Well, the problem was when the drunk WG-auto-pilot decided he'd do something else than "full speed turn around"... Still make almost 50K, but sunk early.
