Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Was lucky enough to be on the same team with @Excavatusand @loppantorkel . I was on my Grozovoi and despite my valiant efforts (solidly finishing in last spot), we ended up winning the battle.

On the same team as @Leo_Apollo11, he in his Z-46 while I tried my luck in the Jervis in a domination battle on Mountain Range. Unfortunately we had a team that put the weak into weekend team, most of them hiding behind islands from the start so after grabbing a couple of caps and some desultory damage, I vented my frustration by sailing out to meet the enemy to get it over with. And still finished third by xp.

 

I said hi at the start of the battle but I'm not sure you saw my message.

Just met @Allied_Winter in the Mainz while I was testing Odin. The enemy team had a serious case of "Kill the testship", and so my side's enemy flank desperetaly tried to kill me, while Allied's side ground them up. Good meeting you!

Indeed. Running a 6km hydro and rushing the cap was a death sentence to a big part of this flank :D

 

Even more impressive is the feat of not losing a single ship while three of the five red BB's were chasing you down :D

@Pandafaust and me had an otherwise nice battle except due to a clerical error the MM had placed us both on the wrong team... most unfortunate. Still, not a complete waste of time, I for one managed to gross a little over 500k which I salvaged out of that mess.

Aye, you held/delayed your flank nicely in that Musashi, glad I could help out against that Harugumo. Sadly, I fell about 20xp short of getting the Naval Battle star I was after, but in fairness I did say I'm not great in a Kaga!

@GM_Captain_Jack_Sparrow was on my team with his Yorck, I was on my Asashio. We shined.. sort of.. but the enemy still dazzled us.

Busy evening tonight, I spotted a familiar nic on the other team's roster. @MacArthur92  on Saipan... and they won. Well, Land of Fire is not exactly where I would want to be with the Asashio and 20km torps.

Oh man... Sorry for that. You got so unlucky RNG took 10k then about 6k bomb hits. I was shocked I just wanted to harass you... Hoped for some dmg but man.... Bombs can still be fatal for DDs.

Met @Ze_Reckless twice tonight. Once on the opposite team, where I was playing solo and had a team that would make it clear to him why I always reply to hello with "Well played!" - and once thereafter on the same team as @El2aZeR and me where the matchmaker screwed up again, but this time in our favour.

Saw @thisismalacoda on onkinawa. My team refused to basically push in basically and i tried to hold off like 6 ships after our charles martel suicided into 2 cruisers, 1 DD and 3 battleships. Did 47k damage and came second on the leaderboard, didn't really have much of a choice to kite. Next game i almost got a kraken and did 153k so yeah.

Yea, your team was a tad unlucky in positioning and stuff. For me a fun game, my first in Vauquelin.

 

Next three were Mogami in double T8 CV, Mogami in T10 CV and Mogami in T10 CV. So fun was over, no matter what spreadsheet says...

Met @lossi_2018 in my monarch, in his lexi with a ryujo that thought bombing a kagero with ap bombs was a good idea, i ended up having to dodge four sets of torps from the kagero and also another two from the kaga while trying and obviously failing to stop the kaga from bombing me in my monarch (had she not and i didn't take those torps i could of killed that bloody monarch).

 

Either way i did 92k and killed someship i can't remember, about 5 games after this were all defeats (had 3 defeats prior to this) and this was enough to make me uninstall lol.

That bloody kagero doe.

I saw @El2aZeR flying around in his Shokaku. I said a timid "hi", he greeted me with AP bombs.

Bumped into @Mr_Tayto and @Bear_Necessities two games in a row, once on my team while I was sailing the Atago (in which I spent most of the game dropping torps and playing a delaying game with half the enemy team pushing up from the south, but got a decent result out of it) with Bear basically torping everyone in the Benham on the other flank.

 

Second game, they were on the other team, and boy what a cluster that game turned into. I sailed the Z-46, and most of the game I didn't do anything except dodge planes and radars and drop the occasional set of torps, before ending up all the way back to our cap and having to defend it from an Atlanta, a Colorado (I think) and the enemy CV who was actually trying to cap (as well as  to defend our cap. What happened on the other end of the map I didn't really pay attention to. At the end, it was @Bear_Necessities (again in the Benham) against three of us who were barely ahead on points. And I'm going to be kicking myself for what happened, because I was so hung up on spotting his torps for the Richelieu that I strayed too close, let him spot me and ended up getting killed. Which was just the points nudge they needed to win the game just as the time ran out 

 

Still, two good and intense games, GGs and thanks for the matches to both of you

@Pametrada's Fiji in Narai while I took out Gneisenau. The team was extremely conservative, which isn't a virtue in that operation, and even less talkative, so things ended up with only a 2-star victory.
