He has some great stats there too.  Really does astound me how people end up with stats like that!

Saw that SCRUB @T0byJug sailing his Monarch on the enemy team on Okinawa while I continued my Mogami grind on the path to finally researching my second tier 10 ship. Not a great battle, a cyclone blew in for most of the duration but we persevered and I took particular pleasure in sinking their Shokaku as that won us the battle about half a second before his final torpedo drop would have finished me off.

...yes, with some emphasis on the 'run' part. I had some early doubts about the game. Seeing the team's strong flank collapse without capping kind of seals it. Anyway, we did what we could in a weak position.

 

I think I ran into @OldschoolGaming_YouTube the other day too, in his Smolensk. Kind of a similar start, retreating from a weak starting flank, but with a better outcome. Well played.

I just met @Cyclops_ in his Smollyboat, he (and the rest) carried my Mino through Ocean.

First time for me with that ship, was expecting to get blapped any second.

After a real ROFLSTOMP got delivered I managed to smack some poor Yamato,

rest of the game I just assisted with smoke and hydro and spotting. 

 

Glad I made it out alive....

I thought we would be on a hiding to nothing as I was doing a Naval Battle for a Star, saw the map unfold and to my horror it was Ocean, NO Where To Hide  so just Smoked, Burned, went dark and repeated, good to meet up in battle @BLUB__BLUB  and get a win and a Star

@Aotearas did a great job holding the center while our teammates were flanking aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way around east flank on North. Was a fun game.

Would have greeted you guys but WG in their infinite wisdom decided to chatban me for 3 days since apperently Im not allowed to call a Zao, that is hunting my Gearing, torps me 4x times and finally suceeds, a sc**b**. A Zao on my team, just to be clear.

I decided to finally go up the KM CA line so I took Hipper out for some strolls. In the last battle I had @Saiyko trying out Odin as a companion in the flank. I saluted him in chat and he answered with F12... but required 6 tries to properly point at my vessel. I jested about it saying he needed to improve his aim. In the end we took the top 3 in the scoreboard along with the North Carolina that spawned by our side, sinking 7 ships.

Yea, was odin game number 7 today. All top tier, what a surprise. Didn't have that for mainz, that was half the time seeing tier ten. And before that 5 enterprise games, all in tier ten. What a surprise WG's matchmaking changes favours BBs more than anything else.

 

Anyway, how do you like hipper then? I have good memories of her, less so than roon, which most ppl seem to prefer.

Well, Hipper isn't as bad as I remembered her, but she's not up to Takao's levels. My only complaint has been the limited torp range: the NC I sank in our battle ate them at the very limit, and a Minotaur could have died in a previous one if they've had just half a kilometre more of running distance (he reversed and went dark at the border of my hydro). I'm using a 10-pointer in her (actually an almost 15-pointer but with unused skills) right now and thinking about putting AL Hipper in charge after moving to Roon.

Had a Grozo game with @Europizza in his smolensk. Turned out to be a loss unfortunately.

I spent much more time gunning at planes than ships, which did not seem to hinder the enemy Midway much , despite getting the AA achievement
