the "old" is correct.

I simply use the "professional colloquial" when speaking. LOL

night before yesterday,

we were in a divison with my mates @Pigl3t in his kitakaze, @CptMinia in his alaska and me in my FDG.

very close battle, enemy team started as brain farting, then they decided to play good, then they had another crap rush to the brain then they played good again..

we lost in the last second,

Just in the middle of the battle, where enemy playing good, they decided the push the center!

@Nautical_Metaphor was leading the push in his musashi.

Then enemy had the brain frezee and everyone retreated, insted musashi who was trying to push into a cap.

and there was a kitakaze next to him in a smoke..

Burned down in screams!

Good battle though!

I mostly play DD's on higher tiers and then, from my perspective, it seems that most BB's on the opposing team really should play for the Dodgers... But when I take my BB's for a round (like the Musashi), I all too often end up in a similar situation. Pushing against the enemy, challenging them into an engagement only to notice that all my other team mates have suddenly dropped out of sight behind me.

This is the definition of 'that sinking feeling'...

I was an IJN DD captain... a long time ago though..

Now I am a glorious BBaby..

But let me tell you one thing,

the thing that IJN DD captains want most from BBs, is to be chased by them..

or any other torpedo boat captain for that matter.

If you know where the enemy DD is, and If it is not close enough to detect with planes or hydro.. just turn back and go to opposite direction :)

Depends on the situation.....if that DD really needs to be deleted or it will kill off more allied ships/defend a cap to eternity and win by it  going in bow pointing at (hidden) DD with all barrels loaded with HE can be worth it for the team. Some irratic saw lining when approaching can sometimes help too, unless very close.

Perhaps not if you are a stat player, sacrificing yourself will ruiin your precious stats, although turning around and leave the Dd alive  can make you lose as well......but going in when you mind team play, sure it is always an option.

Some BB player did charge the smoke cloud but he was smart and had a plan, he called me to help him as a CV player, so we went in together. He died, but reveiled the DD and the DD died too.....and we won the match but with very narrow advance in points.

When there is a CV around it is completely plausable I guess..

But lone BB.. chasing me in my shima.. never ever ends well for that BB.. If I am not on the brink of my health..

"Once you get past the lance point, it just like killing rabbits""

I do this with BB ( for me always enhanced ) secondary batteries too ofcourse, that is what they were for IRL. With BB it's even easier with HE loaded in the main guns as well.

Met @Estaca_de_Bares in a late-night match. Sadly seems we were not only on different teams, but also different flanks, so I couldn't see you for the entire game.

There wasn't that much to see, to be fair: killed the Mogami and kept the German DD spotted with hydro for others to finish him off, but got massacred by the Moskva in return. You did a lot better in your flank.

Salute.

Yeah, your two DDs at C didn't expect radar Edinburgh and then couldn't turn out of radar range due to the island, so Z-52 just died and Kidd got wrecked. Didn't get a huge damage total in, but the knowledge that I contributed to the demise of two DDs and ruined it for a smoke Mino is all the satisfaction I need. Did get three torps and a kill on the Yamato though.

@MortenTardo's Midway and his gang on the red team while playing Minotaur. A full duration battle that could go either way till the very end. Unfortunately for them he couldn't finish off our remaining Daring in time. I only sank a broadsiding Harugumo but became a sore eye blocking B cap from flipping behind a rock and radaring and hydroing everyone that came to it.

Salute.

@Pandafaust and me were on the same team. I performed to my usual standards so you can guess the rest....

I don't know - that was the one where you were in the Ibuki, and I was lexington-ing around the place wasn't it?  I've logged out since so can't see the xp screen, but you were up there in the top 3 or so weren't you?  I was providing some close -in support to the guys moving down to the Southern cap, then they got gibbed and I had to fight a bit of a rearguard action.  Still, plenty of plane kills! :cap_rambo:

Yup, that was the battle. You topped the list and I came in third. At mid point we were winning but like you said our team overreached quite badly. I never like to play cruisers preferring BB's or DD's instead. My performance in DD's is kind of limited as well being more of a torpedo guy than a gun boater.  These days radar seriously effs up my results too...

Just came out of a win in my Shinonome to find @Seiranko on the other team playing with his waifu. (literally didn't notice until you typed in chat *tehepero*)

Shame about the multiple disconnects, if it makes you feel better, you can check out my replay to work out what happened to the rest of your team.
