He was in my team in his Kamikaze R, me in the Crispy Creme - yeah, still trying for the second #1 rank with her - and after I asked in chat in which cap our DDs would attempt suicide this time, he only asked "Forumista?" which got him a +1 Karma... He'd deserved it by also playing good, even giving me some really nice smoke when I needed it (and I didn't even had asked for it!), assembling three sinkers and a cap or two, while I was nasty to anything that came into the Crispy's long range without sinking anything, but gathering enough damage to end up in the #2 slot behind him in our win... So... good game, Sonic#???? (as for an unknown reason neither the Emojis nor the #playername feature works for me on this laptop it wouldn't have helped if I had remembered his name anyway... nonetheless he might look into this thread and recognize my name...) Went to support on C cap, gearing smoked me up. Hit the radar button just as their Jutland was hard-spotted in the cap. He juked out for about 10 seconds before smoking up - meaning my radar ran out after I got one salvo off into his smoke. I tucked my [edited]in behind that island on C, and waited until the expected torps would have arrived. Nope, all clear. So, I accelerated out using the well-laid smoke as cover... and the torps arrived Dev-strike first-blood. Way to go out in style huh! Apart from those few brief moments of cheery greetings in chat with our WG friend, my only other bright spot was my last game... I managed (or rather I was carried to) my first 5* win on Terror of the Deep - random team and with an AFK Gerfalcon... my, does the game like to troll at times. [-IAN-] IanH755 Players 2,100 posts 7,141 battles Report post #6563 Posted November 16, 2018 During a very disappointing run in my Missouri (3 games out of 4 were <65k damage but the other was 148k - go figure) I saw @aboomination is his Harugumo on the Two Brothers map. After spawning in the North we initially headed to the A Cap along with 2 others but, after seeing just a Tirpitz and nothing else, we both quickly realised that the majority of the bots (2x DD, 1 Zao, 1x Missouri) were charging up the middle where we headed them off although, with Aboomination behind me, I realised that the 33kt speed of the Missouri meant that I was stopping him from torping so I slammed on the brakes, let him fly right by and drop his torps for a good kill on the Missouri. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
