I sometimes do the same, there is always so much focus on higher tiers (campaigns, missions, clan training, etc) that lower tiers get totally neglected. And they are some FUN ships there. Tachibana with IFHE - monster, Vampire, Ishicuzchi, Konig Albert... Today was one of those days when I played lower tiers. But wasn't brave enough to take Katori. I like her quite a lot and with 55% winrate and 35k average damage she's one of my successful ships. It's just a totally different playstyle than almost any other cruiser. Not a great battle for me in the Maass but it didn't look promising from the start when all our BBs and CAs looked for safe positions behind islands rather than give support to any of the DDs. I was at least able to take out Odo's steering and set a fire on Beau's Richelieu before my inevitable sinking as I tried to hydro their Fletcher in the hope of retaining at least one cap. I admit to landing a few quite nasty overpens on you from my turbo baguette, your team really didn't make much effort to support the DD's or win, I've had teams like that all evening, it can be frustrating. They scored 3 kills & got confederate in their Saipan, keeping four ships busy & damaging them in our cap while I capped out the enemy base just now in my Mutsuki. A player of the highest calibre.
