Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Saw @MortenTardo just now on one of the icy maps in his Shira, he got focussed down towards the start so he spent the rest of the match with 800hp.  Unfortunately for us, the CV was too busy trying to snipe his oppo to drop a bomb or two on him whilst flying over him on the way to the aforementioned snipe attempt.  My team somehow managed to throw the game despite having grabbed the caps and got into a fairly unassailable position to start.  I can't quite get the hang of the Lyon, it spits out a hell of a lot of shells but I never seem to get great damage out of it.

God, that game. :) Its always fun to play a DD when you constantly have planes over your head. 

You can tell i spent most of the game being spotted when i had 8 plane kills with the Shira. lol. WP tho mate.

Had the Pleasure of playing in same team last night as @44smok was in my second game out in Lyon was a win with @44smok coming second close behind me..... absolute pleasure to meet such a nice guy in game... WP my good man.... (and if you ever fancy a change I would have a slot open for you any time bud )

Me and my newbie friend just ran into @Takru in his Kaga.

We had a very very bad game, where the speed of the Texas meant we couldn't really do anything useful.

 

Takru carried the team to victory with 6 kills tho

Met @wot_chikor in his chung mu yesterday. To his great misfortune I was running rpf on my fletcher, know how to launch torps based off it and had a Belfast on my team who agreed to support me and for whom I dropped a smoke. Ended up winning the game, which was rather underwhelming due to fleeing bbs.

I sank @Strappster's Błyskawica a couple of days ago with a CV (can't remember which one ATM because I've been hunting a lot of DDs in mid-tiers lately, but certainly Independence, Ryujo or Hiryu). I noticed afterwards while checking the screenshots of my recent battles. And another forumite (I'll need to start writing things in a notebook, this memory of mine...) during my first try at Operation Hermes with Lyon, a 1-star victory.

Sorry, I'd have said hello if I'd realised. I went straight to port in a huff because exactly the same thing had happened in the previous battle with my Akizuki; completely my fault for thinking the CV will ignore a lowly DD making an initial spotting run. Twice. Because I need a while to learn from my mistakes.

Mr. @Boris_MNE had the please of confronting our -EP- division.

 

He made en epic last stand in his Yamato, too bad his team was that bad, that three of us in tier 8 ships managed rack up cca. 0.5 million damage. 

 

It is weekend after all. ^^

Just bumped into @Miessa3 trying out what apparently was an almost brand new Saipan - sorry mate, we were running troll AAA combinations post clan wars (T's 7+8), so happened to be in Sims, Atlanta (both AAspec'd) and Kaga for that one. Which certainly did not help Miessa3 settle into his shiny new toy.

Good battle though overall.

(no doubt fellow forumites will be relieved that he was not using 3+1 :) )

Well, if it helped in acquiring some conditioning, good for you: at least you'll be a bit more wary of planes next time.

I've faced @lup3s (Shimakaze), @MortenTardo (Hindenburg) and another 5CRUB's (Kurfürst?) division. We lost the DDs pretty soon, so I could do nothing but try to delay the inevitable defeat by positioning my Mo close to their obligatory paths. In the end it worked badly: pushed by the BB on one side, torpedoed by lup3s and finished off by MortenTardo on the other. Also ended up with @_VAMPA_'s Khabarovsk a few battles later, me in Neptune, although in opposite flanks. Not sure what his was doing apart from happening a carnage there, while mine took our closer cap and I stayed in it to discourage the remaining red DDs from trying to change its ownership.

Initially I covered you to A (and "Mogami" was along us a bit behind) but after I saw that 90% of enemy went the same way I switched to B & C (A was "too hot" with all those BBs targeting me)...

 

It was a nice battle!

Almost shat myself when I encountered your Yueyang at the start of the battle... but I think he forgot he has DWTs, and Shimakazes don't 

 

 

I met @Takru twice in his Kaga, once on my team (he played like a TTT hag baws, we could almost just sit back and enjoy the unfolding carnage); and once on the enemy team, again he played very well - but sadly even his hags were no match for the OP Saipan  .

Should have dropped an island on me

I met @Butterdoll in Hermes this afternoon. He in his Algerie and me in my Atlanta, farming and funning.

The ironic thing about this was that Butterdoll created a thread about Atlanta being OP for Hermes and I had responded to him I think?

Anyway, the results seem obvious, but I also played Pepsi and (stock) Algerie with similar results 

 

I included the last 2 battles of both Algerie and pepsi, I can play well in Hermes with these as well (though admittedly Atlanta is the best option ).

 

2 stars but still a win, till next time Butterdoll!

thank you, I never had a chance to see that, the game crashed after the battle.

Some crashes not too bad, compared with narai where I don't get to see any of that at all.

 

The thing is not about Atlanta being OP, the thing is the lack of ships we got to choose from and way too many ships going around.

The thing with Atlanta it's one of the last cls and that's why it's so good in there, as Fiji is.

Played against @xXx_Blogis_xXx  in his Saipan yesterday, while in Missouri. Was a though (and exciting) match and although Blogis did his best (Kraken) it was just not enough to carry his team. Standard error - his team went A on Brothers map. 

 

But well played, as usual....
