He was a bit bullied by our Missouri, but he came third on the scoreboard so I guess he had a good game. I had a good game in the Kurfürst as well, enemy ships just seemed to evaporate once we spotted them. But i had my minions EUHM division mates greet him. he could not carry his team to victory but i think he got a free kill on my division mate in his montana who lurked a bit too close . [B0TS] philjd Beta Tester 1,806 posts 7,738 battles Report post #5135 Posted February 24, 2018 Bumped into @Jethro_Grey on Okinawa last night - his team won by the skin of a "potato" Yamato who Jethro wanted us to kill, but somehow we failed to do it (only landed 1 torp from 2 set and my surviving 2 teammates for some reason did not fade off into safety as they should have done having very few HP left) and lost on points in the final seconds of the battle. Also bumped into @Skyllon in a SCRUBS division with @WolfGewehr and @Live85 refreshing their skills in a 2xKamikaze R +1 Guilio set up, sinking 3 of our 4 DD's in the first couple of minutes leaving me to try to be a DD hunter in my Fubuki, which didn't end well. Yes, it was a Gnevny, couldn't believe it when I saw both disappear at the same time, but hopefully they learned something useful from it... Little struggle at D but with a little pushing we seemed to kill them all and then chased them into the south where they all died. [SCRUB] Aotearas Players 8,460 posts 13,076 battles Report post #5139 Posted February 25, 2018 Met @_DeathWing_ and his clanmates today, sadly we had a very special Taiho on our team who somehow managed to get up to tier IX in CVs with just autodropping and having no clue at all how to use fighters ... I mean he let one fighter squadron go past an entire cv strike airgroup, ignored them just so he could respot the enemy CV on the other side of the map (with zero ships left that could actually shot it, since he also didn't believe in intercepting strikes ...). Rather than removing manual attacks in the low tier CVs, WG should simply remove autodrops entirely, no point enabling such amoebae. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Match went largely uneventful because the enemy team simply crumbled, though I did get to enjoy a straightlining Conqueror letting himself getting devastated by my torps as he sailed straight into five of them (could've been more, but he didn't have the HP to survive more). Yeah, that Blys was a bit special too ... does nothing the first couple minutes, then goes up the 9 line when every enemy ship except the Mahan already fled that general vicinity and then somehow managed to get himself killed by that Mahan, despite the fact that my divisionmate in his NC was actually helping him and had put a couple chunky salvoes into that Mahan so it was far from a fair 1vs1. But I seriously wonder how many of our Taiho's aircraft kills where catapult aircraft. Sadly, we never met Boris, but his team mates completely abandoned the A cap on Atlantic, enabling us to spam torpedoes and harass them from "their side" of the map.
