Ran into quite a lot of Forumites tonight.  

 

First, there was runner357, waxx25 and ChestHairSailor on the other side. ChestHairSailor was bloody lucky with RNG in his Shinonome, managing to survive on barely 500 health till the end of the match against me in my New Orleans and our Ranger CV trying to bomb him out of the water. (Crazy bad game for both our teams though, both sides lemmingtrained to the same side of the map on Two Brothers. *insert facepalm*). 

 

Then there was TeaCupYuri in another match with his Yamato. Was a great match as well, the Shima really was MVP with five kills and TeaCupYuri was no slouch either with two/three kills to his name too. I loved the point blank nuking of the enemy Minotaur near the end. Heheh.

met blogis today in his saipan (divisioned with another scrub); i was in my belfast, (duel of premium ships ) but they wiped the floor with us. did what i could to defend a cap with 2 other ships against what seemed like half their team, but blogis' cross drop had me turn broadside to an amagi, and that was it for me. good game, man, a well deserved win. I also noticed you dropped a message after the battle, but i was already on my way to see pirates of caribbean by then, and when i returned, the server had disconnected and didn't get anything, so... sorry about the lack of an answer gl and c ya around the 7 seas!

And I made it to Hindenburg today! It was actually a very good day to play today.... Given the fact it is weekend. I had really nice battles.

When in division with ItachiZero we met Unintentional_submarine. I forgot the details, and I got disconnected just when in port so couldn't look back to the result screen. But he ended on top of our team, with a disappointing result for me because it was a walkover IIRC.

Battle yesterday....I played the Hood and was advancing nicely in half the fleet when noticed the other side of the map was wide open and 3 enemy ships were advancing towards our cap. I turned around with a friendly cruiser no one else bothered as usual) and we defended the cap killing two cruisers and a DD who almost completed the cap to win. Then a crying cruiser on our team, after dying near the enemy cap, probably looked at the mini map for the first time, saw my ship in our cap zone (just after I killed the DD) and subjected me to a few minutes of chat abuse, camping BB insults, wallet warrior, 'reported Hood for botting' etc etc. I took great pleasure in probably saving the game and being top XP earner.

 

So Mr. forum user (you know who you are as you are on this thread pretty often and also moaning about BB campers in other threads)...learn to read the nice little map in the corner and look at it often before spouting your bile...oh, and UP YOURS.

Yeah it was pretty much a walkover. I only topped the team due to... well I honestly don't know what. I mean I did take down their Hiryu and hurt a Colorado and Hatsuharu, but otherwise my contribution was limited due to their quick folding and run to the left side of the map (leaving us poor sods behind). It actually pissed me off at the time as I had stacked flags for the battle. It wasn't bad, but it was absolutely frustrating.

I bumped into Tyrendian89 in a British cruiser on I think it was Sea of Fortune. I acted bait in Fletcher and he kept whacking their dds. Fairly easy win after some initial drama.

Met a couple forumites today. TheIdesOfMarch93 in his Yamato, loppantorkel in his Des Moines and El2aZeR in his Des Moines aswell.

 

The game with El2aZeR was sadly a particular letdown by most of the team that first derped right into the A cap on Okinawa (a.k.a. potato cap), died there and no one went to B (a.k.a. the single most dominant position on this map, doubly so in a Domination game). So me in my little stock Baltimore had to go there and contest the cap all by myself with only marginal support against several battleships, several DDs and a couple cruisers ... all whilst our BBs were going full herp-a-derp mode.

 

2.3kk potential damage doggedly holding up half the enemy team by my loneself for more than half the match duration until the enemy found their balls to rush a single stock Baltimore and I eventually died.

Just had VC381 in the team in his Sho which completely destroyed a Belfast right from the bat (tut tut in smoke).  We came first and second so yeah...Job done

Hi mate.  I noticed you quite late on.  Yea, I was surprised that I was allowed to sit there raining fire on your team for so long - your team had plenty of battleships who could get a firing angle on me, and ships in general to have made a push.  I only noticed you when you tried encourage your team to flank around the far left, which eventually they did but by then it was too late.

 

I hadn't sat in a position that allowed me to extricate myself (partly due to where your BBs sat and partly due to having too much to shoot at!).  When I died my fiance happened to walk into the man cave and she goes 'oh dear, that doesn't look good'.  I pointed out that whilst the burning wreck of my ship was not ideal, it had actually gone pretty well, and then the game ended so I could show her my position at the head of our team on the scoreboard

Met Hedgehog 1963 last night - nice to see a Perth in the battle - On estuary, he went left and seemed to roll up that side with allies. I went right in Belfast - capped but then pushed by a division of a Tirpitz and two Bismarks. We killed the Bayern and a Chapaev and then had little choice but kite away, eventually falling to a Bismark. However at least slowed them down which allowed the left side to cap A as well and although he and I both died, we won and took first and second on list. Slightly handicapped by a camping pink Bismark though I think he had received a bloody nose early on and retired Achilles like to his tent in the deep south.
