I got rekt by a random torp as First Blood (from B4zza I think, couldn't bother to stay in battle for one more second so I'm not sure) and with the previous bad games in mind I ragequit and decided to watch some of Fara's CV guide episodes instead. Esa was in his Gremy, and one of my teammates ask for everyone to sink the Gremy first. That caught my attention and it was only then that I noticed he was on the other team. My first response was: "Oh shi.." But then I recovered and said hi. We did poorly, I myself was in my Arizona, which has been a rather unlucky ship for me, which is rather fitting, I think. I did 48 k dmg, ranked fourth of my team, but it was nowhere near enough. After dodging Esa's torps, at least I think they were his, I got focused and died quickly. He said in chat he had been firing AP at me, which explains the lack of damage from him, but he proceeded to rank second in his team, with three kills, right behind a player who had 6 kills. Between the three DDs on his team, they had 10 kills altogether, taking the top three spots. DDs OP, nerf naow. Just now I was in a match with 22cm. We greeted each other, but he sank very quickly, without us ever getting near enough to have to fight each other. I followed him down pretty quickly, but that was after sinking an enemy Z-23 with my Yugumo, then breaking off and trying to avoid incoming enemy fire, dodging with low HP for a while, then getting shot while spotted by radar at just about 10 km. I was so proud of myself for dodging for so long, though I was safe, then spotted by radar, still avoided at least two salvoes, then got hit anyway, taking off my last HP. My team in the match against Trainspite was ... special, let's leave it at that. Btw, 1.337kk potential damage The match with Nechrom turned out we had to babysit a very ... well ... peculiar Ognevoi. Team had agreed on focusing A+B, so what does the Ognevoi that spawned right nect to B do? Goes for C of course ... so Nechrom and myself turned around and provided some unappreciated backup. It was a pretty relaxed battle, at least from my perspective. Sporadic attacks from a couple of enemy Tirpitzes and a Bismarck. Got baited like a noob into hunting down some enemies in the enemy spawn while Aotearas made the right choice and turned back to support the B-push. All-in-all we had them on the back foot basically from the start, so in hindsight me being a noob didn't really hurt us. Also I love these new signals. Your team almost won, with two our BBs chasing this lonely Bismarck for half of the game... Next time shout battle cry so I knew who to shot at! B4zza responded although he has no clan tag iirc (but since he often is in the Scrub chat I consider him a Scrub anyway). I have a screenshot of the MM somewhere. Gee, not even a "don't worry, we're right behind you" supportive fire or anything, they just straight-up hid like pussies. No wonder I was drawing all that fire, you guys couldn't shoot at anything else even if you wanted. This is part of why the meta gets so passive even when BBs actually want to push and tank, everyone else just scurries under a rock into their personal safe space ... deplorable. That is the current playstyle of 90 % of the current BB and CA/CL WoWs population. Don't risk anything you might get shot at. I'm noticing it for myself that I am starting to hold back more then I did in the past, no matter the shipclass, because absolutly no one, except maybe for some DDs, is pushing with me. Everyone is afraid and runs for cover the moment a single shell is flying in the general direction of team green. As a DD you can't push because you get no support. If a CA/CL pushes it will die very fast due to the large numbers of BBs in each team. If a BB pushes, it will do so alone and because of that it will be torped and shot alone. But to stay on topic: I met Cpt_Cowper_Coles this morning. We were in the same team. We chatted a bit. I pushed for a cap in my Shima. Then I ran under concentrated fire. Then I pushed again. Then a few of my torps made short work of the enemy hitpoints and sank a few ships. We won. I didn't have the time to look what Cpt_Cowper_Coles was doing but it seems he was doing well enough as well. 'Nough said. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Well, I had reversed out of their range, and 1-2 of them did come charging forth after you died, but the Belfast & Myoko quickly got deleted. While one Gneisenau and Nagato hid in rear afraid of getting paint scratched. I think I took more damage in Gremy than both of them combined. Though that wasn't anything to match not much later. Fuso, Gneisenau and Colorado run to hide at max range and mostly behind islands until rest of the team was dead. The teams today has been absolutely appalling. Quality seems to drop to sewer around 1500Z Guess I should start looking for people to play in division with BBs. Without good carrier players and/or DD players in enemy team battleships are just so strong in current meta. If left alone in good position Scharnhorst can do really nicely against higher tiers. Like 60k to one FdG who eventually seemed to decide to go for ramming team mate's Missouri... While showing nice broadside and got killed by Shiny Horse's peashooters some 5-10 seconds from ramming. We didn't meet during the match (two brothers and we went to different sides), clear win for his team. A bit later I met IceyJones - not chat banned! - also in enemy team. He tested the buffed Tirpitz while I used the Kiev. I hadn't really tried the RU DDs after the split due to the captains being placed in the wrong ships (experienced captains in lower tiered ones and vice versa) and because I've been too lazy to fix it. I'm also a bit miffed that the modules didn't get researched when the Tashkent was up-tiered... Anyways, I didn't notice his name ingame and his Hakuryu team mate didn't leave me an opening to relax (or farm damage) either. After having capped one of the points and praying that a New Orleans would not use radar (my team chased him away <3), the carrier sent all three of his torpedo bombers after me. I managed to dodge the first two waves but the rubbish turning radius of the Kiev resulted in one hit from the last one. That carrier must've really hated me as he had to drop near a Neptune to reach me. Later in the game, he blind-dropped two torp strikes into my smoke and followed up with his dive bombers when I was forced to leave it. Luckily, I took minimal damage. I get that he would focus on my ship since we had two DDs to the enemy's one, but that was just overzealous! Sadly for Shaka, his Z-52 didn't seem all that keen on capping and his battleships/radar cruisers didn't play that well either so his side lost due to points. I'm not sure if I (or CrySpy) fired any shells at him that game, but I don't think so. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
