Always great to see fellow forumites on the same team, especially when it is a win.

Though the battle was too easy for my taste thanks to rather hard camping by the enemy.

 

 

Yeah, I was happy to see so many cruisers as I was trying to get the citadel stage of the mission done with my Hipper, but they camped HARD. Naturally in the potato cap on Okinawa.

Met Ferry_25 in his Fat Freddy on North. His team crumbled and my team won in the end.

 

Nice seeing you. I am sorry I only saw your name _after_ I had pumped a few salvoes from my Izumo into your boat. If you tried hailing me earlier, I missed it.

I met Flamu in a battle two days ago. We were on the same team. I think he was in a Des Moines (might have been Baltimore). I got the much sought after "You have not proved yourself this battle", and my entire team just melted away like butter on hot pavement. 

 

And here I was, thinking I would get to say hi to my mom on TV...

Just saw Atomskytten.

Not a very eventful match for either, but a really nice win for our team nevertheless.

Spent some time hugging an island as enemies pressed me on both sides, while defending a cap, but my smokescreen lasted just long enough for the team to finish off one enterprising cruiser.

Was able to launch another spread of torps and came close to sinking a Yama with my Gearing's torps, but he slowed down and only took 2 hits.

Did set him up for destruction, did a grand total of over 50 k dmg.

Atomskytten did a bit more in his Des Moines, bravely putting himself in the middle of the only enemy cap, but he paid for it, although we ended up capping that one as well right after.

That resulted in all three caps and all but one enemy ship destroyed, we won by over 700 points.

Good job by our team!

Saw Admiral_noodle early tonight while visiting a neighbor. I was having a stint as the tactical officer on the Gneisenau that sunk your Baltimore in the game when you got a bit salty about the arming times of the torps on German BBs. Yup, they are certainly quite good, especially when you have another guy sitting besides you and doing the countdown, e.g. yours truly. Nice try though, going for the ram there.

I met Unintentional Submarine and Dropsiq earlier in the night. Both on the enemy team. Unintentional kept running away and won't let me burn her. Dropsiq managed to kill me. Fortunately for our team, we had Hagane on our team and he and the Minotaur both carried hard and won us the game. I had a match with Lup3s later in the night. I tried to save him from the enemy carrier, but my AA was just 300 meters too short to disrupt the drop. The team managed to pull thorough though.

Met MoveZig today. Sadly the team was a bunch of lemmings and the few ships that didn't hop onto that train died trying to defend the cap, but couldn't stem the tide. I moved to defend the cap but the cap counter was slow, so only one ship in there ... then I got greedy (at that point still trying to get the fourth stage of the weekly mission done) and made an illadvised detour to drop torps on a deliciously straightlining New Mexico, but in the meantime it seems two other enemy ships had entered our base cap and I couldn't make it back in time to block and reset ... my mistake, could've helped there but I miscalculated hard.

 

Also met a WG guy ([WH-EU]Lumberjack something) ingame. Of course I couldn't resist to pop a little jape about the BB overpopulation when I saw him sail a Yamato

That match ended up me alone in my Khaba trying to dance with a Tirpitz, Des Moines and another DD (not sure if it was the Shima or the Gearing ...) to somehow outfight all three of them after our team ground themselves to dust playing ring around the rosey on Tears of the Desert epicenter and I was effectively the only worthwhile *cough*DD*cough* since our team's other three DDs died unceremoniously with less base XP among all three of them than me alone.

It was one of those moments where I wasn't sure if that was you or not, so yeah, I guess we did see each other but I really do not remember the outcome of the games

 

I also met Goldblow, Ilhilh and Takeda92 this morning, although Takeda did say anything, I guess he was chatbanned (like me now)

Just played with MortenTardo, him in his Fletcher and me being very passive in my Atago. Bit of a roflstomp but I didn't personally see much action with only 13k damage.

Met Dropsiq yesterday. I was in Hiryu, he was in Ryujo in my team and we were facing Air superiority Hiryu and air superiority Independence on enemy team. Fun times

I mean, two best CV players in one battle? It was obvious we will win. They didn't stand a chance.

 

Met mtm today. On tier II. When I sailed my 16th battle in USS Albany today. Those are the moments you appreciate your viewers in twitch (they used all their points to make me play Albany whole day...).

The horror. Mtm was on Jurien and I wanted to ram him, but he run away :<

Just met atomskytten in a tier 10 match.

Don't know if he recognoized me. He didn't react when I greeted and later I was busy pushing the enemy team and couldn't care about the chat that much.

Just had an awesome match in my Blyska together with prj1865 in his New Mexico.

He asked if I post on the forum a lot, to which I replied, rather proudly, that I created a whole new subforum (I didn't, but it was created in part for the topic with tips to encourage more team play) and had gotten a thread stickied (more or less).

Both are accomplishments that I am very proud of, although it has to be said that I only started them, it was you guys that made both of them a success and the WG reps who moved them around/stickied them!

 

Anyway, was happy to discover a Polish voiceover that actually sounded pretty good, not that I speak any Polish..

Proceeded to roflstomp over the enemy, ended up top of my team, with prj1865 second.

That sounds like it was a walkover, but it wasn't, in points and ships it was actually really close, right up until the end.

We just did well and I for one really, really got lucky this time!

Will post another After Action Report in the appropriate thread.

Yes, that was a typical potato special. I came top of the team by miles, couldn't have done much more...

 

That'll teach me for using Gremy without a div to boost me higher

Met fallenkezef in his Warspite as my pals and me were having a bit fun in our tier VI ships.

 

He didn't get to shine much though as our division did the only thing you can do as bottom-tier in a tier VIII game ... go balls to the wall and just smash right into the nearest enemy ... fallenkezef soon found himself alone and was ruthlessly dispatched by a Hipper rushing up to torp him.

 

The fun was a bit dampened in the later stages of the game as a particularily obnoxious individual thought it'd be a good time to start talking some real sh*t about polish people including rather uncharming jokes about WW2 and chambers ... the whole idiotic yadda yadda. Sadly I was already out of reports for the day (you wouldn't believe what I had seen this day, urgh).

 

Hope you had better luck trying out the freshly oiled up Warspite turrets in other games.

Had Kann_Nix_Extreme on my team. He in his Saipan, me in my Iowa. Was a pretty comfortable win.

I've just met Lightbaron in his Scharnhorst, with me in Sims, on the map Trap. I hate that map, but it was a success with the barons on #1 and #2 of the winning team.
