Just met t0ffik1 on the enemy team today in his Shokaku. He wasn't helped at all by the nationconfused Gearing who went all the way around the map to try and snipe me in my carrier...

Met cherry2blost in my team yesterday. I did some torp hits on his clan mates which have been in the enemy team

Clear win for our side. And it was nice to see DD, CA, BB go together for the same caps, in contrast to some other matches yesterday.

He did nasty things to me even after I stated that shooting at me was not part of the fun in the battle.

Lulz I spent this match with a Neptune and Tirpitz on my arse playing hide and seek round A and spamming HE at SkybuckFlying.

Just had Dropsiq on the opposing team in his Donskoi on Seas of Fortune.

 

Managed to knock out their only DD at the start of the game, but our only DD decided to commit Sudoku by "hiding" in smoke with three enemy radar cruisers well within range around him. Got lucky by detonating a Currywurst with my puny Shokaku planes.

Yeah was a real team of trolls who barely got 300xp on a tier 8-10 game wasnt it Takru btw was GG - funny we got matched in 2 games in row on oposite sides in carriers  (and in the 2nd game seems teams MM fliped the team sides )

 

btw returning to our conversation from first game - seems you were the last one from TTT that i met today in enemy team (and have to say IJN_Taiho has rly bad luck in his blyskawica where ever he encounters me in enemy team )

It's quite usual to use sudoku instead of seppuku for comedic effect on le internet

Yup, as I said, derping pretty hard. Kinda had to though, can't have a follow forumite sitting around in his smoke 4km in front of my nose, couldn't fight the urge to rush. Ah, whatever, sometimes you get the torper, sometimes the torps get you.

I was in that battle too. And got abandoned in cap by a Z-23 sailing right to line 1 and down into complete irrelevancy, while I was stupid enough to go in after him and was left in a completely untenable position. Bit salty about that really, but I think I saw you won that one in the end, so well done. Certainly not by my contribution to that battle, I chalk it off as a learning experience, e.g. to finally stop relying on people in random battles. *sigh*

 

And finally just had lup3s in my team on Shards, while I was giving a stock Udaloi a try. We lost, but frankly neither of us was to blame for that, I'd think. He had a similar experience to mine in above battle, iirc he characterized the situation as male bovine excretions.

It was just stupid. One Yugumo was able to kill 3 of our DDs (and a Tirpitz that rushed the island the Yugumo was hiding behind).

 

At the start of the battle I was sailing with a Shiratsuyu to the B cap. I thought (/hoped) he would provide a smoke screen; he didn't.

Even worse, as soon as he got detected by an enemy Yugumo, he fled without giving me an option to do the same. Luckily the Yugumo smoked, giving me a chance to escape. I was able to radar him and bring him down to 4k health; but he escaped. Despite being on such low health, he still managed to kill 3 DDs with torpedoes and guns.

 

Un-f*cking-believable.

 

It's always the same sh*t; never trust your "allies" to be teamplayers.

I've never tried a sudoku, but I literally sometimes bring a coffee and a newspaper for the first 5 minutes. It can considerably ease the frustration.

Saw ghashpl in his Kamikaze R. I suggested he take one cap while I go get the other in my Fiji. He got killed pretty early but the game ended in a glorious victory regardless.

Just had Elenortirion in his Akizuki (a most fitting ship) on the red team. Sadly his team was ... undecided. He died trying to cap and I almost felt bad shooting at him, but well, life goes on.

 

He came second on his team though, so he got a compliment for that (also, cronyism).

Had EdiJo on my team in his Blyska, while I was in Bismarck divisioning with a friend in Amagi.

 

The three of us won and placed 1-2-3 in the results.

 

Dumped some compliments on you afterwards. I think my mate dumped all 7 of his. Cheers!

We did have unusually good teamwork. That double Edinburgh and Atago division could've tied us up a while, but our New Orleans pushed close and radared them after announcing it which with a Montana and Hindenburg proved to be instantly disastrous for those poor sods, whilst the Kagerou obviously had some respect for my Khabarovsk and tried to work around me though obviously he didn't have quite enough respect, because he once actually started picking a fight when he thought three cruisers shooting at me would be a distraction ... he paid a couple thousand healthpoints for making that mistake.

 

No idea what your North Carolina was doing there, he essentially bailed the moment he saw opposition and left for the mapborder, leaving the Amagi alone to bear the brunt of the push as she tried to regroup, and was unceremoniously dumped as roadkill a bit later.

 

By the way, what were you testing (since you mentioned it)?

I suppose that was roughtly in similar time as I was being flushed out of my smoke on no-longer-our-cap by radar of des moines that seemed to be reversing out of the middle straight? [my two regrets: 1) seeing reversing des I assumed he will accelerate forward when seeing that he's torped - he didn't spread went ahead of him, 2) I died as soon as I've got a very nice flat angle on his broadside ready to AP crap out of him]

I'm not sure if I should admitt it out loud xD - I was unsure if when CD for speed booster starts to count down and since I've freshly fitted speed booster modification [and prem speed booster for more charges] the raw numbers were giving interesting oportunities depending on that matter - so I basically loaded into that battle with intention of paying close attention to what will happen once booster runs out ;)

[unfortunately for my hopes being already raised up 2min cd starts counting down only when 3 minutes of booster will run out.....]

While he was on my team and we won it was a rather short and one sided affair unfortunately - not the kind of heartbeat duel / final kind of stuff. Nevertheless always a pleasure to meet a follow forumite :-)

Match ended in a loss because I couldn't contest the cap alone in my Udaloi vs a Gearing with extensive support (including a Moskva, i.e.: radar), so I had to bail under fire, and Durin was utterly left to his own devices by the fellow Z-46 who was more intent on hiding behind an island rather than actually cap anything ...

Run into lup3s in Fiji just now. Unfortunately, I didn't leave much of a good impression - gun duels with Belfasts aren't healthy for DDs, even Akizuki  

Still, we won, so it's not all bad

ThinderChief in his La Glascannon and true to its name I got a 7 overpenn salvo on his broadside. Had to finish him of later ofc and lost only 1 karma for it.

 

Sucked in the rest of the game while Jack, my divisionmate, carried but hey we won, so .......
