As I changed my MSI laptop to an Alienware I expected some changes on the fps  front but can't really see huge improvement.

17" QHD resolution, 32GB DDR4 RAM, PCI-e SSD, GTX1080.

I set everything to the maximum and get fps between 74-77. Is it right or should be more?

As far as I know every drivers are up to date

Isn't the game fps locked?

Not that you'd be able to see anything more than that anyhow.

You can unlock the framerate but you'll have huge fps drop sometimes if you put the value too high. For my case, if i put 144fps, the frame rate will not be constant and i'll have huge fps drop.

You can try it if you want by going to: world of warships folder, then go to "res" folder and then open "engine_config" with notepad. Search the line "<maxFrameRate>75</maxFrameRate>" and change 75 to what you want.

Yeap, the lock is in the \res\Engine_Config.xml file and can be removed/changed there -

<engine_config.xml>

<renderer>

<cacheEffects>false</cacheEffects>

<gammaCorrectionOutside>1.0</gammaCorrectionOutside>

<gammaCorrectionInside>1.0</gammaCorrectionInside>

<gammaCorrectionSpeed>0.2</gammaCorrectionSpeed>

<tripleBuffering>true</tripleBuffering>

<maxFrameRate>75</maxFrameRate>

It s a story of game optimization, and uses of the CPU threads...

Usually I limit the fps to 50.

I'm just curious what knows this beast:

You're right, if Aslain can do it, WG should be able to do the same...
