Starting from Baltimore, you get shells that are much slower, but also very heavy and with improved bounce angle. They hurts like hell, but you need to learn how to aim with those. And those ships lack range and aren't very durable, they're made for using the islands as much as possible, while Indianapolis is a ship for kiting on open water at tier 7. It's totally different. Grinding through the line is required to learn how to play them, frankly. Like any other tier X in the game... Moskva play like the other russian cruisers, DM plays like the other USN cruisers. All USN 8" AP have improved bounce angles. Pepsi, Indy and Nawleens all have the same AP and AP performance. The ones from Baltimore onwards have better pen at most ranges and also can be better used in overarcing situations as well as against some decks at extreme range (no, no, really, at extreme range the improved bounce means you no longer autobounce)
