Quickly checked. The language selection works, but... Not as a dropdown menu (and let me put here as a preamble the system is weird and I will be reporting this as I can see how it is confusing ;))

Step 1: Click on the language change link.

Step 2: Scroll down (:cap_wander: your scrollbar changes).

Stpe 3: Change language :cap_rambo:

You can change the language in the url:

https://worldofwarships.eu/de/news/updates/update-0751/

This is german, so you change de to en.

https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/updates/update-0751/

And permanent change can be found here:

If you still get the german page, you may have to delete your browser history.

Not always. The website is identifying your location and is trying to present you a website in accordance to the country you are connecting from. So it might be that you are auto-relocated to the language the server deems fit. If you like it or not.

I think a website should never supercede the choice a user made in an URL. @Tuccy please forward that to your webdevelopers too. If I type EN in the proper place in the url, I'd like to visit the english website, not the german one.

It is even harder to change that setting on a smartphone. I had to switch into desktop mode to be able to view the website in the language of my preference on my mobile device.
