When even the CC's know you are ignoramuses, you know you're headed for the trash bin

I'm confused. Everyone keeps mentioning how much XP they have? I upgraded to Windows 7 years ago now. Surely you aren't using XP still?

Hang in there Az. You're a great DD player. I checked your stats out on the web and you obviously know what you're doing.

You'll get to rank 1 eventually.......................not

WOWS is working as intended. If Wargaming wanted it to work in any other way it would but it works this way because that is how Wargaming wants it to work.

Well, since @Jbnn couldn't handle a little salt, and decided to commit one of the classic Logical Fallacies and tried to shut me up because he was too much of a fragile snowflake to handle a little bit of heat, here's the version that uses eloquent language to explain what a total case of rectal craniosis is afflicting the WG product mangement crew.

This is the third season I have complained / commented on this.  I observed similar complaints for at least two seasons prior.

But this is the first season I've seen CCs chip in and say "Dudes, you guys who define what success means, you guys don't have three neurons to rub together."

That is TWO YEARS of people telling you to get your [expletive deleted] together.  What, too much vodka and not enough brainpower getting you down, guys?

Now, even your CCs are telling you this.  Let me give you guys at WG a little hint:  take the message.  Act on it.  Don't let your [expletive-deleted] admins shut it down.  They are only interested in making you feel good, and if it means giving you a happy blow, they'll do it.

But of course, two years, four seasons of sticking your fingers in your ears and going "la la la" might make for some inertia.  In which case, don't be surprised when accounts like mine suddenly start playing like dogcrap, stats in the toilet, because we decided to sell them.  After all, that's what happened to WoT.  But I wonder....can you afford an implosion of that sort?

Really guys, fix it.  I'm out of ranked now.  Never going to play it again.  Leaving the game soon.  UNLESS you can get your crap together and fix your retarded scoring model.

I see you don't like it.... but how would you fix it?   Adding that part might give your thread a little longer life expectancy.

I get it, and that's true - which is why I made my suggestion two seasons ago, and repeated it vociferously last season.

Basically, it would involve top 5 players of a winning team, if they scored >1000 xp, they gain a star.  The other two gain/lose nothing.  Any player on the winning team scoring <100 xp loses a star.  On losing team, top two players gain a star if they xp score >750.  Third player loses nothing on a score >500.  Remaining four lose a star.

Capping changes to a time ticker:

1.  If you cap, you gain xp per current.  As well, for every tick gaining points for the team, the capper(s) gain xp equal to the points ticked for the team, split among them.

2.  De-capping would yield a xp = 0.5 * (value of cap * % of capping job removed)

Spotting changes to be that:

1.  At the time of firing the shot, if the firing ship was at >12km from the target, the closest ship with a LOS to the target hit gains 50% of the xp based on the damage value inflicted when the shot lands.

However, these are just ideas.  I had hoped that some sort of change would be made, but as was mentioned previously in this thread, no effort has been made whatsoever to alter the idiotic mess we have now.

Wouldn't this make the game-play even more about dmg/XP farming and even less about playing the objectives?

Risk v reward?

Take an uncontested cap away from the action and hold it for the game = massive risk free profit; take a high risk contested cap and see it flipped shortly after = little or no reward.

Also, this means that your XP reward becomes dependent upon your teams actions in defending the cap, which introduces a conflict with your earlier ideas, since if you're playing to finish in the top 3 you don't want your DD picking up XP from holding a cap.

Not when taking into account the additional changes mentioned, I would think.

Have you tried capping in ranked lately?

As I said, they are starting points.  Not intended to be final product.  But congrats on taking the "knock the points down and justify doing no f'ing thing at all" point.

It's an effort to improve things.  There may be better ideas.  Doing nothing, however, is what I was bitching about from the start - because doing nothing simply says "I got nothing, throwing my hands up in the air, because I'm a useless [edited] of a game designer".

But that's what WG has been doing.
