Ouch, looks like I somehow managed to mix up LG and Algerie. Both which I use in scenarios.

At the moment Cleveland is one of my favorite ships to take on the T6 operations, great DPM with an IFHE commander, and of course great for shooting down the bot planes. Whenever one of the OPs with lots of carriers was up you could almost guarantee to see a Cleveland in your team line up. So my question is, When Cleveland moves to T8, what is going to be the best ship to replace her with? the Turd will not be one of them. That's for sure. There's a lot of cruisers capable of that. But I'm very sceptical about Cleveland going to t8. We are going to lose an apex t6 ship to gain a mediocre ship at t8, turned into another and bigger, clumsiest Atlanta. In exchange of a crippled Turd, not even warm. Since after Hermes I'm playing exclusively Cleveland.... saying goodbye to a ship. (the last time I checked the "news", weren't very cheerful). There are 10 tiers, and they had to mess with t6.

Well, at least in my case. Again personally, nowadays I prefer DPM above all (and thus the Cleve & Leander), AA is fine if it's "good enough". Sure, it is hilarious when you massacre all the planes yourself, because nobody else bothered to bring a single slingshot with him, but under normal circumstances, I feel that the classic "waaagh, all energy to AA!"-specialization is an unnecessary overkill. God levels of AA makes operations very, very easy. You can charge off solo to complete stuff without the fear of getting dropped when fighting bot ships. It's twice as hard when you have to start dodging torpedoes from your flank and worry about consistently getting set on fire.
Hyperion84 Players 163 posts 1,549 battles Report post #31 Posted May 11, 2018 I really like both the La Galissonnière (I have speed boost modification 1 and running and gunning for 4+ minutes is no joke at all) and of course das German Uber boot Nürnberg with it's sheer and frightening amount of firepower it can bring to bear against all enemies. Both ships with defensive AA will save the day, not like the Cleveland, but they will get the job done nonetheless and that what's counts in my book
